The protestors...PAID to Kill Americanism in favor of Globalism

Headline:

Anti-Trump Protests Funded By Left-Wing ‘Charity’

[snip]The Progress Unity Fund is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization — the same classification as the Red Cross. The group’s mission is to “provide a progressive alternative to mainstream charities,” according to its IRS filings.
The fund provides the financial backing for Act Now To Stop War & End Racism (ANSWER) Coalition, a left-wing activist group that began organizing “emergency protests” immediately after Trump’s election.

These anarchists destroying our cities are being PAID by the left!     They have NO interest in the rule of law or the constitution.
President TRUMP told us on July 21st...""Americanism NOT Globalism" will be our credo!" And that is what this is all about....killing Americanism in favor of Globalism.

This is Progress Unity Fund who is funding ANSWER. THIS is who is funding the 'protests'......Translation....FOREIGN $$$, foreign influence.......
On their mission page....”International solidarity”

These are COMMUNISTS! They are the same ones who tried to destroy Scott Walker in Wisconsin.

“Activists who participated in the Wisconsin labor struggle in early 2011 were featured in workshops and speaking engagements sponsored by the Progress Unity Fund. The Progress Unity Fund supported the production of videos, reports and other educational materials for public dissemination."

Immigrant rights

Immigrants in the United States face special forms of oppression and are often deprived of basic rights and liberties. The Progress Unity Fund has supported projects aimed at informing the public about the hardships faced by the immigrant community and the tearing apart of families due to deportation laws. These initiatives also clarified and educated the public on the real impact of anti-immigrant measures such as Arizona’s SB 1070 and the “Secure Communities” program, as well as countering the campaign of disinformation spread by anti-immigrant groups such as the Minute Men.”

Donald Trump campaigned on being the law and order president. THAT is what these anarchists simply cannot abide!

These are NOT protests...This is TERRORISM!

Legal Definition of terrorism. 1 : the unlawful use or threat of violence especially against the state or the public as a politically motivated means of attack or coercion. 2 : violent and intimidating gang activity terrorism

As our reader notes, "I have a video of 5 city blocks on the West side of Chicago lined with busses from Wisconsin (Badger Bus Lines) bringing in protestors. The Sears tower is visible in the background." The video was taken at 3:30pm on South Canal Street in Chicago on Saturday. As our reader points out, hundreds of the participants that took part in the downtown Chicago protests from November 12 were bused in using these vehicles. Other arrived by train. 24-Year-Old Latina Campaigns for Donald Trump on South Texas Border: ‘He’s Right About Everything He Says’

http://ktla.com/2016/07/03/24-year-old-latina-campaigns-for-donald-trump-on-south-texas-border/

Miriam Cepeda is probably one of few — a 24-year-old Latina and a self-proclaimed “Trump girl” on the South Texas border — and she wants you to know it.
"I completely agree with Donald J. Trump's policies as far as creating a stronger border and enforcing our border security," said Miriam Cepeda, 24, a self-proclaimed "Trump Girl."
“I completely agree with Donald J. Trump’s policies as far as creating a stronger border and enforcing our border security,” said Miriam Cepeda, 24, a self-proclaimed “Trump girl.”
She volunteers for Donald Trump’s campaign in an area where 90% of its population identifies as Hispanic or Latino, and she lives in Texas’ Hidalgo County. Proof that not all of Texas votes Republican, President Barack Obama won 70% of the vote there in 2012. This is also not far from where Trump wants to build his wall with Mexico.
Cepeda is the daughter of an undocumented immigrant who once had a green card, but she doesn’t shy away from the controversial comments Trump has made about Latinos — including when he first launched his White House bid by calling Mexican immigrants “rapists.”
“I completely agree with Donald J. Trump’s policies as far as creating a stronger border and enforcing our border security,” she said. “I firsthand have seen … friends that are getting involved with illegal activity that’s associated with drugs or human trafficking. It’s an issue that people need to realize is reality.”

NOT a word about this MASS SHOOTER in Oregon last week...know why?  He was a SIX time returned Mexican ILLEGAL ALIEN!  Until YOU demand more out of this corrupt media, NOTHING changes!

(Note....We mistakenly put the wrong photo of this TERRORIST on this post earlier...it was another illegal alien MURDERING Mexican from last week!...gets confusing there are SO MANY OF THEM!)

Triple homicide by illegal alien in Woodburn
July 1, 2016
OFIR members and supporters:

On Monday, June 27, four people were shot on a blueberry farm near Woodburn, in Yamhill County OR. The accused shooter killed 3 and seriously injured the 4th.  It was learned yesterday, through inquiries by OFIR member and KXL FM 101.1 contributor David Olen Cross that the accused killer was an illegal alien who had already been deported 6 times!

See the account of the accused killer’s immigration status below.

Elections, both state and federal, give us our best opportunity to bring real change to the malfunctioning immigration system. Too many innocent citizens have been harmed and even murdered by persons who should never have entered this country and would not be here if the laws were properly enforced.

In an op-ed article published in the Statesman Journal recently, OFIR President Cynthia Kendoll discusses what state leaders can and should do to protect citizens' well-being and safety and perhaps even their lives. Now is the time to get this message to candidates at every opportunity.

Woodburn, Ore — The man accused of shooting and killing three people and injuring a fourth on a blueberry farm outside of Woodburn, has been deported from the U.S. six times since 2003. The U.S. Immigration and Customes Enforcement spokeswoman says in a written statement:

"After conducting a comprehensive review of Mr. Oseguera’s immigration and criminal history, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has designated this as a federal interest case. To that end, the agency filed a notice of action with the Marion County Jail asking to be alerted if or when Mr. Oseguera is slated for release so the agency can take custody ot pursue further administrative enforcement action.  Relevant databases indicate Mr. Oseguera has no significant prior criminal convictions. However, he has been repatriated to Mexico six times since 2003, most recently in 2013"

Bonifacio Oseguera-Gonzalez is accused of shooting and killing 60-year old Ruben Rigoberto-Reyes, 26-year old Edmundo Amaro-Bajonero and 30 year old Katie Gildersleeve. He also shot and injured 27-year old Refugio Modesto-DeLaCruz on June 27th.

Detectives still have not provided any motive for the shootings or how Oseguera is connected to the victims or the farm where the shooting took place.

INCIDENT AT JARBIDGE
Source: Eye Witness
Published: July 5, 2000
Posted on 07/05/2000 20:46:41 PDT by AuntB

I recall in studies of Native Americans and the ensuing “Indian wars” many battles, massacres and land takeovers were referred to as “incidents”. That’s a polite term for a lot more sinister act. Absolute power, no matter what color, creed, religion it may be will take what it wants, whenever it is allowed. The indigenous tribes of this country had something the power wanted and it took it. The same strain of evil power in that part of our history has again reared it’s ugly head. On July 3 and 4, 2000 some of the current indigenous tribes gathered in Jarbidge, Nevada and said ENOUGH.
You will be told by the so-called environmentalists, who only showed up at the last minute, that damage was done when some good Americans repaired a road destroyed at taxpayer expense by Bill Clinton and Bruce Babbitt’s Federal Government. It’s a lie. Many of us camped for days on the Jarbidge River to observe as citizen reporters. We studied for months the motives of the Elko Shovel Brigade. We studied documents. We talked to law enforcement, national, regional and local reporters, and citizens of Jarbidge. We experienced Jarbidge.

I missed meeting the man who spoke to national televised media as an “environmentalist” and praised this out-of-control government for destroying this little dirt road. You just had to be there. Maybe that’s what Mr. Babbitt is counting on....that NO ONE will bother to show up to tell the rest of the country about these remote, meaningless little bergs that they seek to destroy. But, oh yes, it’s only a crummy little dirt road, messing with the bull trout. The BULL part is correct. I wonder where the enviro-man would like to send the handful of residents of Jarbidge as he extols this governments corrupt actions. Perhaps the remnanats of some former tribe will share a reservation. Then Mr. Babbitt could mess with their funds as well. This is not about a “road”. This is about people’s lives. Their homes. And something that the power wants.

The Western States have little representation or electoral votes, so their concerns are not taken seriously by the politicians. In fact, they have no intention of letting us have a part of planning our lives, our homes, our futures.

Jarbidge is a half mile stretch with tiny stores, businesses, and homes along one road. Dirt road...the only way in and the only way out is many miles of dirt, rock, towering mountains and bottomless canyons. No pavement, not a black, sticky drop. This is not the area for the faint hearted. Gives new meaning to the word “remote”. You really want to be there to bother ever getting there. 3 miles down the road are campgrounds that we stayed in at the road closure. Our camp was right on the river. The road closure was farther away from the river and the so called “endangered” fish. IF the enviro’s and the administrations reason for closing is true then they MUST close off the entire road and close off Jarbidge. The entire community is on that river. That cute little white haired, 90 year old life-time resident is just gonna have to relocate! No big deal. Frankly, I doubt if 99.99% of the country would ever want to go there, let alone LIVE there. Well, I suppose, that’s a mute point testified to by the 25 year-round residents of Jarbidge.

Like I said, you had to be there. Where do you suppose Enviro-man and the ol’ enviro-broads live? How about, ummmm......San Diego! Percentage wise they should be willingly let go of Disneyland. Bulldoze it! Call in the Forest Service. If they don’t trash it, they’ll burn it. Do you have any idea how much natural habitat is being destroyed by Disney?!!That used to be Orange groves! Oranges, after all, are getting harder to get! Then bill San Diego County a few billion for messing it up! So the San Diegans loose 10% of their community...it’s for the greater good.

Go home, Enviro-man! Go back to your corrupt resort city on the rim of Grand Canyon, Mr. Babbitt. Let these people live like they’ve lived for decades in a place they love and treat like it is loved. More than YOU will ever dream of loving a piece of land. It’s THEIR road. They NEVER harmed their river. They’re not tellin you how to live, or where..... Where you may travel and on what road. Some things never change, like evil power. Chief Joseph of the Nez Perce said it best:
“PERHAPS YOU THINK THE CREATOR SENT YOU HERE TO DISPOSE OF US AS YOU SEE FIT. IF I THOUGHT YOU WERE SENT BY THE CREATOR I MIGHT BE INDUCED TO THINK YOU HAD A RIGHT TO DISPOSE OF ME. DO NO MISUNDERSTAND ME, BUT UNDERSTAND ME FULLY WITH REFERENCE TO MY AFFECTIONS FOR THE LAND. I NEVER SAID THE LAND WAS MINE TO DO WITH IT AS I CHOSE. THE ONE WHO HAS THE RIGHT TO DISPOSE OF IT IS THE ONE WHO HAS CREATED IT. I CLAIM A RIGHT TO LIVE ON MY OWN LAND, AND ACCORD YOU THE PRIVILEGE TO LIVE ON YOURS.”

THE WEST LIVES. The “INCIDENT” that is trying to happen to Jarbidge has been exposed. GO home, where ever that may be and leave these people alone to care for THEIR HOME.

THE SOUTH CANYON ROAD IS OPEN.

What issues really matter to the Candidates...? What did they say about TERRORISM

We are going to look at what Rubio, Cruz and Trump had to say during their announcement speeches to run for president about  Terrorism,  ISIS, Islam,  middle east refugees.  Previously, we looked at immigration here.

Cruz
March 2015

Imagine a president who says “We will stand up and defeat radical Islamic terrorism...”
“... and we will call it by its name.”

THAT's it!
But he mentioned CUBA FIVE TIMES!
"torture in Cuba,   growing up in Cuba,     he flees Cuba,    free Cuba from the dictator,
Cuba was not at a peaceful time."

RUBIOApril 2015
.....yes,we will pay salary to him  and Cruz for a year while they campaign!

NOTHING, not a word, but he mentioned CUBA twice!
"Cuban exiles"   and   "poor families in Cuba"

TRUMP
   June, 2015

Islamic terrorism is eating up large portions of the Middle East. They've become rich.

They just built a hotel in Syria. Can you believe this? They built a hotel. When I have to build a hotel, I pay interest. They don't have to pay interest, because they took the oil that, when we left Iraq, I said we should've taken.

So now ISIS has the oil, and what they don't have, Iran has. And in 19 -- and I will tell you this, and I said it very strongly, years ago, I said -- and I love the military, and I want to have the strongest military that we've ever had, and we need it more now than ever. But I said, "Don't hit Iraq," because you're going to totally destabilize the Middle East. Iran is going to take over the Middle East, Iran and somebody else will get the oil, and it turned out that Iran is now taking over Iraq. Think of it. Iran is taking over Iraq, and they're taking it over big league.

We get Bergdahl, they get five killer terrorists that everybody wanted over there.
We get Bergdahl. We get a traitor.

Nobody would be tougher on ISIS than Donald Trump. Nobody.
I will find -- within our military, I will find the General Patton or I will find General MacArthur, I will find the right guy. I will find the guy that's going to take that military and make it really work. Nobody, nobody will be pushing us around.

The Middle East on fire...as our media ignores terrorists crossing our border!

Headline:

Controversial Muslim cleric caught being smuggled into U.S. over Mexico border

By Daily Mail Reporter 28th January 2011

U.S. border guards got a surprise when they searched a Mexican BMW and found a hardline Muslim cleric - banned from France and Canada - curled up in the boot.

Said Jaziri, who called for the death of a Danish cartoonist that drew pictures of the prophet Mohammed, was being smuggled into California when he was arrested, along with his driver Kenneth Robert Lawler.

The 43-year-old was deported from Canada to his homeland Tunisia in 2007 after it emerged he had lied on his refugee application about having served jail time in France.

Asylum: Jaziri had allegedly paid a Tijuana-based smuggling group $5,000 to get him across the border near Tecate, saying he wanted to be taken to a ‘safe place anywhere in the U.S.’

Asylum: Jaziri had allegedly paid a Tijuana-based smuggling group $5,000 to get him across the border near Tecate, saying he wanted to be taken to a ‘safe place anywhere in the U.S.’

His fire and brimstone sermons and rabble-rousing antics catapulted him into the public eye during his short tenure as imam at a Montreal mosque.

He branded homosexuality a disease and led protests over cartoonist Kurt Westergaard’s illustrations poked fun at Islam and were published in a Danish newspaper in 2006.

He also caused anger when he campaigned for a bigger mosque to accommodate Montreal’s burgeoning Muslim population.[snip]

Iranian Book Celebrating Suicide Bombers Found in Arizona Desert

Jan. 27, 2011 EXCLUSIVE: A book celebrating suicide bombers has been found in the Arizona desert just north of the U.S.- Mexican border, authorities tell Fox News.

The book, "In Memory of Our Martyrs," was spotted Tuesday by a U.S. Border Patrol agent out of the Casa Grande substation who was patrolling a route known for smuggling illegal immigrants and drugs.

Agents also say that the book appears to have been exposed to weather in the desert "for at least several days or weeks."

Published in Iran, it consists of short biographies of Islamic suicide bombers and other Islamic militants who died carrying out attacks.

Statements from U.S. officials, including FBI director Robert Mueller, have raised serious concerns in recent years over "OTMs" -- or illegal immigrants other than Mexicans -- who have crossed the southwest border at alarming rates.

Mueller testified before the House Appropriations Committee in March 2005 that "there are individuals from countries with known Al Qaeda connections who are changing their Islamic surnames to Hispanic-sounding names and obtaining false Hispanic identities, learning to speak Spanish and pretending to be Hispanic."

Just last year, the Department of Homeland Security had in custody thousands of detainees from Afghanistan, Egypt, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Yemen. U.S. Border Patrol statistics indicate that there were 108,025 OTMs detained in 2006, compared to 165,178 in 2005 and 44,614 in 2004.

Authorities would not release a picture of the book to Fox News, or reveal how long they believe it was lying in the desert. Immigration officials have previously discovered items along the U.S.-Mexico border from Middle Eastern origin, including Iranian currency in Zapata, Texas, and a jacket found in Jim Hogg County, Texas, that was covered in patches including an Arabic military badge that illustrates an airplane flying into a tower.

[snip]

A woman was interviewed by Glenn Beck this week who recently spent 2 wks. with family in Mexico. She was repeatedly told about ‘Arabs’ being seen with heads of the cartel gangs. Iran is a favored trading partner with Mexico and votes like them in the UN...more often with Iran than with the USA.

Smuggling illegal aliens through Mexico by known terrorists sympathizers is nothing new...

Eritrean Man Pleads Guilty to Alien Smuggling

[snip] According to plea documents, from at least June 2007 until approximately January 2008, Fessahazion was the Guatemalan link of an alien smuggling network that spans East Africa, Central and South America. Specifically, according to the court documents, Fessahazion illegally entered the United States at McAllen, Texas, on March 20, 2008. He applied for asylum on Sept. 30, 2008, claiming in his application that he was traveling across Africa in 2007 and 2008, fleeing persecution in Eritrea. However, according to court documents, Fessahazion was actually in Guatemala during that period facilitating the smuggling of East African aliens to the United States. Fessahazion was granted asylum by the United States on Nov. 13, 2008.

Fessahazion admitted that for profit, he encouraged or induced at least six and up to 24 illegal aliens, primarily East Africans, to come to, enter, or reside in the United States knowing that they were not authorized to do so. Fessahazion admitted he moved aliens from Honduras through Guatemala and into Mexico illegally, at which point he referred aliens to a smuggler who brought the aliens into the United States.

Man arrested after decapitated body found in Chandler, Arizona

Oct. 11, 2010 - Fox News - Chandler police are investigating a weekend homicide after taking a suspect into custody. At approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday, Chandler police were called to an apartment complex in the 300 block of West Fairview Street near Frye Road and Arizona Avenue for a decapitated man found inside a unit.

Officers found a Hispanic male in his 30s stabbed and decapitated. The man's head was found near the body.

Crisantos Moroyoqui, 36, is in custody facing charges of second-degree murder and hindering prosecution. According to police, Moroyoqui had been living near the victim and it appears they knew each other.

Sgt. Frank Mendoza said the victim, suspect and other people had been drinking earlier in the evening inside the unit. The police report indicates some of the men left for a casino and at that time the witnesses reported seeing the victim alive with Moroyoqui and three other individuals. An hour later men awoke to find the victim deceased.

A witness who lived with Moroyoqui alerted investigators to bloody shoes which provided probable cause for Moroyoqui's arrest. Moroyoqui is in the U.S. illegally.

Police are asking the public with help locating three suspects in this case. Juan David Campos Morales Aguilar, Hispanic male, 220 pounds with short dard hair and a thin moustache; Jose David Castro Reyes, Hispanic male, 25 years-old, with short hair and clean shaven; "EL JOTO", Hispanic male, with short spiked black hair and a goatee. They are believed to be traveling in a 2003 Red Ford Expedition with California plate 6FWR784. The Chandler Police Department is asking anyone with information to call 480-782-4130

BAD US Immigration policy is reason for NY Bomber

HEADLINE: Faisal Shahzad: Time Square Bomber, Islamic Terrorist (Shahzad Faisal)[Naturalized April 17th, 2009]
This entire mess rests on our screwy/PC immigration system. It is responsible, as well, for creating the problems in Arizona, as its citizens attempt to stem the invasion of the state by illegal aliens.
Latinos and Muslims get first crack at immigration, to appease them and their lobbying interests as 'legal entrants'. Third world immigrants are typically socialist/democrat voters.

A few years ago
USCIS (agency in charge) lost 111,000 files they were to vet for 'legal residents' from foreign countries...so they just approved 30,000 instead, with no vetting.
Senator Charles Grassley commented at the time: "It only takes one missing file of somebody with links to a terrorist organization to become an American citizen," said Grassley, who is chairman of the Senate Finance Committee. "We can't afford to be handing out citizenship with blinders on."

Now remember, THIS is the agency who will vet the 20 million aliens that Obama and McCain want to put on a 'path to citizenship'. The agency is out of control!

Decent immigrants are put in the back of the line. They serve no purpose to push this country into socialism/anarchy.
People keep saying we allow 1 million Legal entries every year...WRONG. It’s closer to 4 million every year...and growing.

Take a look at just what USCIS does EVERY DAY. Last year we gave over a million citizenship, then there are the dozens of visas to suit just about anyone, including terrorists. And remember all those hunreds of thousands of refugees....Haitians, Somalians, etc. who get ‘temp legal status’...those are given out by the State Dept and not even counted in the USCIS numbers.

“A Day in the Life of USCIS”- (Is this any way to protect our nation?)

Some of the DAILY work of USCIS according to their own document:

* Conduct 135,000 national security background checks - IF they decide to!

* process 30,000 applications for immigrant benefits - PER DAY

* Issue 7,000 permanent resident cards (green cards -PER DAY)

* Welcome 2100 new citizens. PER DAY

* Welcome 3500 new permanent residents. PER DAY

They don't have a word for 'mercy'

This is a must see video of armed Mexican drug runners invading the USA.
sent to us by our friends with the National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers.

A film crew is documenting the invasion and is warned by a local person of the dangers they risk, telling them, "They don't have a word for mercy".

The degradation of our border because of constant, heavy 'migrant' traffic continues.
A feud between the Departments of the Interior and Homeland Security over federal wilderness areas that constitute 40 percent of the nation's southern border has been undermining the mission of both agencies for nearly a decade. This adolescent refusal to cooperate threatens the security of all Americans. That much was made clear March 27 when Arizona rancher Rob Krentz and his dog were shot to death by someone crossing the border illegally. The murderer then escaped in a pronghorn antelope protection area that the Interior Department placed off limits to Border Patrol agents. Krentz had repeatedly complained that illegals were threatening his family, stealing and destroying his property, and even sabotaging his ranch's water supply. Something's very wrong when law-abiding, tax-paying citizens like Krentz have to live in constant fear and get less protection from their own government than desert pronghorns.

Something’s wrong when law-abiding, tax-paying citizens like slain rancher Rob Krentz have to live with less protection from their own government than desert pronghorns. (Ross D. Franklin/AP file)

The Campo Minutemen reports they have removed another 1595 pounds of litter from Public Lands on the border , as of April 17. 2010 and a total of more than 47,600 pounds since starting the litter removal program.
But the degradation of our habitat reaches across the USA by this invasion.

A marijuana site cleanup took place on the Shasta Lake District of the Shasta-Trinity National Forest (STNF) on April 7, 2010. Forest personnel worked throughout the day to clean up litter from abandoned Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) marijuana sites.

A helicopter was used to transport large amounts of trash, hose, propane tanks, insecticides and other waste from the marijuana sites to then be properly disposed of.

“The forest is conducting these procedures to ensure the safety of forest visitors and agency employees,” STNF Patrol Captain Chad Krogstad said.

In the past six months STNF personnel have initiated and completed clean up on two DTO sites on the Mount Shasta Ranger District and three sites on the Shasta Lake Ranger District. Some of the garbage has been packed out on foot, hauled away in vehicles, and flown out of remote sites by helicopters. At one site personnel collected around 300 pounds of trash, four miles of hose, three propane tanks and one gallon of insecticide.

Illegal marijuana cultivation poses a public safety risk and directly harms the environment. The illegal use of pesticides can cause extensive long-term damage to natural resources. The use of herbicides, pesticides and rodenticides can cause extensive and long-term damage to ecosystems and impact public drinking water for hundreds of miles. Timber and vegetation are destroyed, much needed water is diverted from watersheds, streams, lakes, and public drinking water supplies, and fish and wildlife habitat are destroyed.

“The Forest Service will continue to work with our partners at the federal, state and local levels to address the use of public lands to grow marijuana illegally,” Kristy Cottini, STNF Shasta Lake District Ranger, said. “This is something we take very seriously that can have negative effects on fish and wildlife habitats, as well as other legitimate uses of National Forest system lands.”
Be careful out there, especially when you’re hiking cross-country near year-round streams.

Grumbling continues; arrests of undocumented aliens in Arizona condemned

(Notimex) Angelica Salas, executive director of the Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles (CHIRLA), condemned the recent raids against immigrants carried out in Arizona. In a position statement regarding the raids that occurred in the state, she considers the actions contrary to the immigration reform that President Barack Obama backs. She accused the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement of operating behind the back of the Department of Homeland Security, whose leader, Janet Napolitano, has insisted that immigration matters should be basically federal. She alleges that the raids that terrorize immigrants and affect local businesses are carried out at the request of Sheriff Arpaio who “hides behind the police badge in order to advance agendas not related to security.” Salas asked the Arizona government to cancel legislation, known as SB1070, that permits collaboration between local and federal agents to pursue illegal immigrants and apply severe penalties. The “pretext” in applying such a law, she said, is supposedly that the illegal immigrants are very dangerous and generate public insecurity, but in reality they are people who work and contribute to the local economy.

A Deliberate act of Terrorism - Mexico

By now, most of us have heard about the coordinated assassinations of our government consulate representatives in Mexico, only yards from our border as they frantically tried to escape the killers. We have yet to hear of any of our elected officials speaking out against this most recent outrage, except to be told our president is 'outraged'.

On CBS news last night
, Mexican security analyst, Alberto Islas put it this way,
"It was a deliberate act of terrorism."

He is exactly right.

Our friends with the National Association of Former Border Patrol Agents, who translate the daily news for us from south of the border, have long been warning of the danger in Mexico to our citizens , as well as the danger crossing into our own country daily. Many instances have been cited concerning threats to our officials and law enforcement.

Yet, as we watch our citizens senselessly die, the Obama administration, propped up by pretend republican Lindsey Graham, is pushing for amnesty for those same cartel members hiding in plain site within our own borders.

We were warned years ago by Donald Rumsfeld when he stated, " The risk is that some of these human-smuggling routes into our country from this hemisphere could be used just as easily for terrorists."

Secretary Rumsfeld also said the United States has to be, as he put it, smarter and quicker in securing our borders. The federal government’s failure to secure those borders is leading individual states to take action.

Congressman Warns Mexico More Dangerous than Iraq, Could Become Failed State Wednesday, March 25, 2009

[snips]At a House of Representatives hearing on federal law enforcement’s response to the violence along the border between the United States and Mexico, Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) said there is more danger in that region than in the Middle East.

“Mexico is more dangerous than Iraq,” Culberson said. “There were more deaths in Mexico than there were in Iraq.”

The per capita rate of civilian killings in the Mexican border city in 2008 was nearly three-and-a-half times (3.4) as great as the per capita rate of civilian killings in the Iraqi province of Baghdad

That means people are at greater risk in Juarez than in Baghdad province.

In fact, CNSNews.com has calculated that approximately 113 per 100,000 people were killed by violence in Juarez, while in Baghdad about 33 per 100,000 civilians shared the same fate.

“Yet the testimony that this committee’s received, that we have on Homeland Security – many members of this committee are also on the Homeland Security Committee – the U.S. military has ranked the Mexican government, the Pakistani government and the Afghan government as the three most unstable, potentially likely to collapse governments in the world,” Culberson said.

“The level of violence we’re seeing in Mexico certainly has to be qualified essentially as a civil war,” he said. “The level of violence is unprecedented.”

Culberson also questioned the Drug Enforcement Agency’s (DEA) definition of “spillover,” as when drug cartels or gangs target Americans or American assets.

“In Houston, Texas, in broad daylight, we had a machine-gun fight at one of the biggest intersections in southwest Houston,” Culberson said. “A machine-gun battle between two human smugglers. They’re trying to kill each other. That’s not counted as spillover because they are shooting at each other and it’s not a deliberate attack on U.S. civilians.”

“Those bullets weren’t hitting each other, those bullets were flying everywhere,” Culberson said.

The New York Times sums it up today:

"American officials said they had several theories about the killings, but the strongest one was that the three were killed by a drug gang to send a message to both the Mexican and United States governments."

United States officials reiterated on Monday their support for Mr. Calderón’s battle against Mexico’s drug gangs, which first the Bush administration and then the Obama administration have backed with more than $1 billion in aid. The money has been spread across an array of agencies charged with fighting the drug war. It has bought helicopters for the army, X-ray equipment for customs, training for judges and a new police academy for federal police recruits.

Still, our government insists it cannot afford to finish the fence mandated by law on the southern border.

The war next door is here and until our government sees fit to enforce the rule of law, instead of babysitting and paying off a dysfunctional Mexico and the terrorism it promotes , it will only get worse.

War in Mexico claims US Citizens - WAKE UP AMERICA!

US consulate workers killed in Mexico drug wars

According to the newspaper Diario de Juarez, gunmen chased the couple’s white van shortly after 2 p.m. on Saturday, shooting at the vehicle until it swerved out of control, crashing into oncoming traffic near the bridge.

Ms Enriquez, who was four months pregnant with the couple’s second child, was shot in the head, while her husband was shot in his neck and arm. When police officers arrived at the victims’ bullet-riddled Toyota van, they discovered the couple’s baby daughter crying disconsolately in the back seat, Diario de Juarez reported. At first the officers thought the seven-month-old girl had been wounded, but she was unharmed.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton extended her sympathy to the families of the victims and said Washington would continue to work with the Mexican government to bring drug traffickers to justice.

“These appalling assaults on members of our own State Department family are, sadly, part of a growing tragedy besetting many communities in Mexico,” said Mrs Clinton. Washington was committed to: “work closely with the government of President Calderon to cripple the influence of trafficking organizations at work in Mexico,” she said. “

From John Lollipop:

While Americans Are Murdered in Mexico, Obama Works on Amnesty!

Although no one in the Obama Administration seems to give a damn, the nation of Mexico continues to decay further and further into anarchy, a tragedy which recently resulted in the murder of innocent Americans affiliated with the U.S. Consulate in this god-forsaken, third-world, failed state. (1)

As murder and mayhem rage out of control in Mexico, the likelihood that the carnage will spill over onto America soil increases with each passing day. In fact, incursions across the US border by Mexican military forces have already been reported and are a chilling reminder of why our borders must be secured and fortified militarily. (2)

And what are the president of the United States and the US Congress doing while Mexico wages war on our sovereign state?

Incredibly enough, our dithering president and his Democrat colleagues in Congress are too busy working on plans to grant amnesty to the 20 million or so invading criminals from Mexico and points south, to concern themselves with defending the homeland.

Moreover, misguided yokels like Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano prefer to think of illegal aliens as "newly arrived refuges" rather than criminals who have deliberately violated US borders and immigration laws.

In their mindless mania to grow the Democrat Party at any cost, Obama and the Democrats have overlooked a vital fact about illegal aliens currently in America: Namely, should hostilities break out between the US and Mexico over Mexico's inability to control its drug crimes, the loyalties of most illegal aliens will be with Mexico.

The notion that Mexican peasants come to America in pursuit of liberty and freedom and to join the American "family" is too ludicrous to stand.

Mexicans come to America illegally because our politicians are stupid enough to reward them with free health care, education, employment, food, housing, and, in the most extreme cases, protection from federal immigration authorities.

Most invaders have little or no interest in American values, or in "assimilating" into mainstream America, a fact borne out by their universal refusal to learn English.

Granting amnesty to illegal aliens will only serve to encourage another 40 million or so to violate our borders and laws.

If our president and Congress had any commitment whatsoever to the preservation of American culture and to protecting the American people from harm, the administration would be working to deport invading interlopers back to Mexico.[snip]

What a terrifying few moments it must have been for this young family slaughtered in Mexico. The assailants started shooting at their car and they headed for the bridge to the USA. And almost made it before being shot and crashing.

In this video the Sunnis of RevolutionMuslim.com, showed up to protest a NYC Shiite rally. The Sunni vs. Shiite feud has been going on for over 1000 years, and it has now reached our shores. If the police were not there, this protest would of easily turned violent. Once again we see how Islam slowly destroys societies across the world. Flight 253 - No ONE DIED!

"What's the big deal? The terrorist was stopped, right? No one died! "

That's what we're being told by the Obama support squad.

How SOON we forget...or ignore...the last jihadist completed mission carried out during the Obama administration....yes, the Muslim Army doctor that killed our servicemen at Ft. Hood.

AND the totally ignored incident of another Muslim jihadist who targeted and KILLED our servicemen on US soil...The media and Obama completely ignored it, conveniently, because the same day an abortionist was killed.

[snip] June 1, 2009 ....Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad -- a 24-year-old Little Rock resident formerly known as Carlos Bledsoe -- faces a first-degree murder charge and 15 counts of engaging in a terrorist act, Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas said. The terrorist counts stem from the shots fired at an occupied building.

While authorities continued to investigate a motive, Thomas said Muhammad is a Muslim convert and, based on preliminary interviews with him, investigators believe there were "political and religious motives" in the shooting

    Thu Dec 17 14:30:25 2009
House Democrats rolled out their proposal yesterday for immigration reform. Today, the White House sent two Cabinet secretaries out to make the case that it’s time to fix what they call a “broken system.” Labor Secretary Hilda Solis knows something about immigration. Her mother is from Nicaragua, her father’s from Mexico. She joined Commerce Secretary Gary Locke, whose mother is from Hong Kong, and father is from China. Both made the case that the time was right for comprehensive immigration reform. Solis said bringing undocumented workers into the light would be good for all workers — and for employers who...Link

Washington DC – In light of immigration reform legislation introduced today by Representative Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) that provides citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants, Congressman Duncan Hunter reaffirmed his opposition to any comprehensive reform effort that grants amnesty or fails to put border security first. On Wednesday, Congressman Hunter will be joined by a bipartisan group of lawmakers to introduce the BRIDGE resolution – a legislative initiative that outlines several guiding principles for comprehensive immigration reform. “At the same time our Southern land border is overrun with violence and other unlawful activity, there are some Democrats in Congress who want...

House Democrats Tuesday unveiled major legislation to overhaul the nation’s immigration laws, pegging its passage to the fulfillment of a campaign promise by President Barack Obama. Rep. Luis Gutierrez (D-Ill.), who has shepherded the bill, enjoyed chants of “yes we can” from a horde of onlookers in a packed room in the Rayburn House Office Building. But the future of the bill is more uncertain. The Congressional Hispanic Caucus, including Chairwoman Nydia Velazquez (D-N.Y.) and its most senior member, Rep. Solomon Ortiz (D-Texas), lauded the bill, saying it’s long overdue and would help integrate undocumented immigrants into U.S. society. But...

Three al Qaeda Operatives To Be Charged in New York

Working with Mexican, latin American narco terrorists!

Dec. 18, 2009 - ABC

[snips] The arrests confirm the suspicions of the DEA that al Qaeda is providing protection for narcotics traffic and using the proceeds "to facilitate terror operations," federal sources said.

According to DEA officials, the cocaine sting was orchestrated along a route through West Africa to North Africa that serves as a gateway for transshipment to Europe. The men were arrested after an investigation in which informants and agents posed as Latin American narco-terrorists who shared anti-American interests with the men.

Colombian cartel bosses have imported wholesale the successful transshipment techniques they used in Latin America, and sent into West Africa prison-toughened traffickers like Jorge Salinas Cortez, who was recently expelled from the region. Linking the traffickers' greed with Al Qaeda's ability to protect shipments has presented the DEA with a challenging mission in "some tough areas," said Benson.

The operatives who conducted the sting posed as members of the Colombian revolutionary group FARC.

"Toure also described his strong relationship with the al-Qaeda groups that control areas of North Africa," said the complaint. "Toure stated that he has worked with al Qaeda to transport and deliver between one and two tons of hashish to Tunisia," and also cooperated with al Qaeda in human trafficking. He also allegedly told the source that he could work with al Qaeda to arrange kidnappings for ransom. Toure said that "our friends, the radicals and the Muslims" would guarantee the transport of a shipment of cocaine through the desert. "Toure clarified that the 'military people' were al Qaeda," according to the complaint. Toure then produced Abdelrahman as a member of the militia that would guard the contraband on its trip.

Duncan Hunter Speaks: Terrorist Trials in NY, Amnesty, Sarah Palin, China

This interview is the fifth installment of an on going series of conversations with the former Congressman and 2008 presidential candidate.

AJM: It’s been announced in the news with several stories coming out of the Pelosi camp and the Obama administration that they are going to revisit amnesty in the next few weeks. They are working diligently on the next amnesty plan and I’m sure they’ll have some of the same republicans involved with this – namely Lindsey Graham and McCain and some of the other same cast of characters. So this thing actually has a lot of support when you toss in those republicans. What is your opinion on this and what should we do to fight it?

DH: I think there will be a large backlash against this. Especially among rank and file democrats during this high unemployment period. I’ll never forget a construction worker, an American citizen coming up to me one time, a member of the Hispanic community, and said “please don’t let”–what was known in those days as Kennedy/McCain- “this thing pass”. This guy explained that it had taken him years to get to the point where he was making $35/hr. And he said “if you open the floodgates, I’ll go down to $15 an hour, and my ability to take care of my family will diminish”. He said that in so many words.

Especially when you have a massive unemployment rate, the idea that we are going to open the floodgates is insane. That’s what you do when you entertain amnesty. We’ve seen the number of crossings, illegal border crossings increase when the President even TALKS about it, talks about amnesty. It’s human nature. The people that came over in the 80s, when we gave amnesty to some 3 million people – and we incidentally at that point, we said ‘now THIS IS IT, this time we really mean it and we are gonna enforce our borders’. And people knew we didn’t really mean it; so about 12 million more came pouring in subsequent to that admonishment that we were now going to enforce the borders in a serious way, and that there would be no more amnesty.

So when you announce an amnesty there will always be a new wave people coming over illegally, human nature being what it is, anticipating that they – the new wave- will catch the next amnesty. So at a time when jobs are very, very difficult to find, especially blue collar jobs, the idea that we are opening the floodgates again is something the American people will not accept.

And I know the democrat strategists are looking to… thinking they are going to pickup a new, huge voting constituency. I don’t think so. Last hired is often first fired. And there are lots of folks in the Hispanic community like the guy who approached me, the construction worker, who are worried about their jobs and the rate of pay.

AJM: So you think the backlash will stop it once again?

DH: I think so.

AJM: I sure hope so. Even the Reagan model, which you voted against by the way, the 1986 amnesty, there was the promise of border enforcement. I can’t imagine that these democrats writing this next bill will…..they’ve already gutted your Secure Fence Act several times over. What’s your take on getting some real border enforcement? Are we going to have to wait for the next Republican in office?

DH: I think it is clear that this administration does not want a secure border. And it is always difficult to understand their point of view. But it is clear from their initiatives, and the lack of interest in completing the border fence. The way most of the amnesty initiatives have been framed, proponents always promise that enforcement will go hand in hand with the amnesty. But I think at this point all the political proponents of amnesty have lost their credibility.

We had a Secure Fence Act, which was watered down massively. We got some fence up, some 100s of miles of some barrier, which has been good. Incidentally, we sealed up Smugglers Gulch in San Diego with the double fence. And when we did that, the crime rate in the city of San Diego, by FBI statistics, after we built the fence, fell by more than 53 percent. The apprehensions went down by more than 90 percent!

The point is that fences do work. And another point is that the then governor of Arizona, Governor Napolitano, swung back and forth between saying “fences don’t work” – saying “if you show me a 12 foot fence, I’ll show you a 13 foot ladder”, and in the next sentence she would lament the fact that we (California) were sealing our border so the illegal aliens were now going to her state of Arizona and crossing.

She not only tried to have it both ways, but literally she tried to have it both ways in almost the same sentence (laughing).

In fact, in Yuma, Arizona, the one sector that they fenced there, as I recall, apprehensions went down from almost 138,000 in that sector to 3,800, after they did the fence....The same person who discounted the fence, and resented the fact that we had one. So no, she’s not going to lead with a construction program.

We had the two Texas senators, with the Texas border literally on fire with the smuggling of people and narcotics, fold. And I don’t know where they got their direction. The President (Bush) had essentially the same position – they didn’t want to fence Texas. You had at one time I recall, some 600 unsolved murders in Nuevo Laredo. That’s the drug town immediately across from Laredo, Texas. Massive smuggling. Yet inexplicable disinterest on the part of Kay Bailey and John Cornyn. Good members of congress, strong on defense, generally folks that I agree with; but also the governor, Governor Perry was not an advocate of the fence.

I think they were all talking to the landowners who probably liked the idea of having a fairly large pool of people coming across the border to work inexpensively.

My point to the President, and to the Senators during the conference on this fence, was that a landowner on the border, or a rancher on the border, does not have the right to determine unilaterally what the immigration policy of this country is going to be. And just because that means that he gets some inexpensive people, he’s NOT the guy to be sorting out the people who may at one point be terrorists, or who may be the drug people, and determining who comes into the United States. The policy of the United States is deeper and is more important than the desires of a landowner to have some inexpensive labor coming in to his ranch from Mexico.

AJM: I’ll agree with that. I want to reiterate the fact that they’ve been catching a lot of non-mexicans, what do they call them, OTMs – Other Than Mexicans. A lot of Chinese coming…

DH: That’s always been the case. Everybody in the world knows if you want to get into America illegally, you use the southern border of the United States to do it. You don’t come through LA International Airport anymore. They understand that. That’s a MAJOR problem. So what we’ve got to do is we’ve got to elect a bunch of conservative Republicans in this next race. Obviously, we need to take Congress back!

And I think that’s possible. The swings, the nature of politics is to surprise. And I think we can have a surprising resurgence in the House races in this next election.

AJM: I sure hope so. And the guys you’ve been promoting are also, all of them, are strong border hawks. In the Hunter mold, as opposed to the McCain mold of wanting to grant amnesty. So keep up that work, Congressman. In the primaries, we need people that are going to do it right, and not waffle once they office.

DH: Yep. We need to do just that. We also need to – you know I’m looking forward to a lot more guys getting out of the service, and running for office across the country. That’s an important dimension to representation, especially when you have the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq at the level they are at right now. Having people, wearing the uniform, shedding that uniform, running for office then becoming representatives I think is an important part of American society. And we have a paucity of military folks coming into Congress.

AJM: What is your opinion of the National party endorsing candidates in a primary?

DH: Well, I think there needs to be a balance. Sometimes they need to go out and recruit candidates to run. Especially when you have great candidates you think should run for office. For example, Eisenhower was actively recruited by the national party – I’m probably using the best example of recruitment – but Eisenhower was recruited by the national Republicans to run on the GOP ticket. And I think when they initially talked with him, they weren’t sure if he was a Democrat or Republican. And as I recall, the Democrats had an interest in trying to get Eisenhower to run also. So that’s probably the best example of a national recruitment.

In a number of races you do want to go out – for example I went out and asked old Gunny Pop. I think he was inclined to run, but I told him he’d make a great Congressman and I encouraged him to run. I think that’s important. If you do that, you do need to endorse them when they run. But in terms of simply going with the….if somebody is already predisposed to run and they are running and there are other good candidates out there running, the idea that you try to anoint someone, I think, is a mistake.

AJM: OK. a question regarding Sarah Palin. I don’t know if you’ve turned on a TV lately, but she’s everywhere. She’s got a new book just released today – number 1 bestseller. She’s on Oprah and Barbara Walters and basically it is her re-introduction after she quit her governorship. So what do you think about Sarah Palin and her future in the Republican Party?

DH: You know, I don’t know Governor Palin well. And I’m not close to their campaign. So I don’t know her well enough to comment on what her strategy may be for the next couple of years. But I think she provided some energy to the Republican Party. And I think she has provided a strong role model for conservative women who want to get involved in politics, and to take the fight back to the liberal feminist side which has dominated Democratic politics.

So I think Sarah Palin was a refreshing contrast to the model that the liberal media was shoving at us as to what women in politics should be. She represented independence, individualism. I don’t know, I’m not familiar with all of her activities as a governor in Alaska so it’s tough to comment on that.

But I think, generally speaking, she’s a refreshing new presence on the political scene and I wish her well.

AJM: One of the criticisms of her, fair or not, was she doesn’t have a full grasp on certain aspects of what the Presidency entails when it comes to foreign policy or military affairs, national security, sovereignty, the types of things you’re known for. So we’d love to send her up to you at some point at least to meet. Would you be interested in meeting her?

DH: (Laughs) Well, of course. Listen; there are lots of people that have information, that have good backgrounds in national security who could brief up Sarah Palin.

I thought in the debates and interviews that she needed to have three or four positions that are classic republican, conservative positions, like Peace through Strength, and she needed to assert those. And remember Charlie Gibson, I think, was the first major interview that Sarah Palin did. I think she needed to assert those strongly, and stake out conservative positions, rather than kind of trying to handle the volleys that the media was throwing at her. I would have had a little different strategy going in to that.

But you know, I think Sarah Palin did a good job in the campaign. And certainly the campaign was in tough shape when Sarah Palin came onto the ticket. I think she was value added. Absolutely.

AJM: Another issue that is current news is that apparently Mr. Holder and Mr. Obama decided to bring Khalid Sheik Mohammed to New York for a trial, affording him all the rights of a US citizen. What is your take on this nonsense?

DH: I think we had, we put together the terrorist tribunal, and I participated in putting that law together as the chairman of the Armed Services Committee on the House side. And I think we did it right. The defendants have lots of rights, the right to cross examine, the right against self-incrimination, and the right -except where classified evidence might be compromised – to confront their accusers. They had lots of rights. If you look at the Rwandan model and the Nuremberg model where we prosecuted war criminals, they have as many rights in our military tribunal system that we set up as the defendants in those two forums.

Now when you bring people to America, there are certain additional rights that attach because you are basically here. I think it is a mistake to bring him to New York and to give them all the protections of American criminals. One reason is this: If you take a batch of POWs that we’ve captured on the battlefield of a shooting war, people that wore uniforms, and you demanded that we had to release them unless we could prove that each and every one of them, prove beyond a reasonable doubt that everyone of them was actually in the act carrying out war against the Americans, we would never be able to prove a lot of those cases!

In the first place, war is a confusing thing. You don’t go back and recreate crime scenes when you get your Humvee blown up, or you have shots taken at you in the remote areas of Afghanistan. You can’t give a guy Miranda rights before you question him. Somebody’s life may depend on him answering those questions. And so you really give people when you afford them complete criminal rights in America, you are giving them a lot more rights than a soldier gets.

We now live in this age of terrorism, and we’ve got to find our way between the desire to give people massive rights when we are prosecuting them or else free them. Between that extreme and rights you afford somebody when they are wearing a uniform and engaging you in a direct fight. It is unusual that we are actually giving more rights to the guys who blew up women and children in a very cowardly way than are given to uniformed troops who march out to the battlefield and fight for their country in the open. But that is essentially what we are doing.

And we ought to keep Guantanamo going. Guantanamo is EXACTLY the right place for these guys. They all gained weight at Guantanamo. They have lots of sports and athletics. They have taxpayer paid prayer rugs, Korans, they have the loud speaker. As I recall when I was down there it was giving prayer call something like five times a day over the prison loudspeaker system. If that would have been a Baptist prayer call the ACLU would have gone nuts, but it was a muslim prayer call so it was OK.

The point is that they were very well taken care of. And the idea that we somehow acquiesce to this very fuzzy “world opinion” – a world opinion made up of foreign leaders who like the idea of the Americans always doing the heavy lifting when it comes to fighting terrorism – they want to offer up all these objections to Guantanamo.

The interesting thing about Guantanamo is that of all the major prisons in the world, it’s the only prison, the only major prison, where there’s never been a murder. It’s probably the only prison where people also gain weight. It’s also got a medical system there that is better than most American’s HMOs to take care of people medically.

The question is “what are we doing?”.

And the answer is that we are satisfying a perception. And it’s a perception that really isn’t held genuinely by the people that utter that perception. That is leftist foreign leaders who complain about Guantanamo. They like us going after the terrorists, doing the heavy lifting, and they want to sit back and issue press releases saying ‘when you catch these murderers treat them very humanely, take care of them- and incidentally you Americans pay for it all – and we in other parts of the world will monitor your progress in terms of humanitarianism.’

DH: Yeah. Well with respect to Guantanamo, it’s the old saying “when the truth conflicts with the legend – print the legend”. I do not agree with the policy of pretending that a fiction or a myth is real in order to satisfy public opinion. We did NOT torture people in Guantanamo. If you ask the relevant authorities if dogs ever bit people in Guantanamo, the answer is “no”, or “once” at one point. People were not tortured at Guantanamo. They’ve generally been taken very good care of.

We’ve had tons of delegations visting Guantanamo. I remember Madeleine Bordallo who was the representative from Guam walked out of the trip I took down there – she was one of our congressional delegation members – and said at the press conference, “this place is a country club”. Of course, that’s the ‘wrong’ thing to say if you are going to be politically correct, but she’s a pretty gutsy lady. And she’s a democrat, incidentally, and told it like it was. We treat people very well in Guantanamo, and yet we’re acknowledging this myth, this legend, and treating it like it’s true. The legend that invokes images of people being chained and beaten and whipped – it’s just nuts.

AJM: Yep. And when you say “we”, it’s people like Dick Durbin and some of the more liberal democrats in addition to the Obama administration. They are going against the grain of American wisdom.

DH: Dick Durbin has had scores of murders in his prisons, and I don’t think he recommends closing them down! You know, and these people that say you shouldn’t use dogs – shouldn’t have dogs present – If you ask them if they are going to recommend closing down their K9 units in their own police departments in the states they represent, the answer would be an absolute NO. And if you don’t think a 110 pound German Shepherd – they say it’s torture to intimidate people with the presence of a dog – having a massive German Shepherd snapping at you six inches from your face, I think it tends to make you want to talk.

I think lots of people have made lots of confessions with that 110 pound German Shepherd snapping away while the police officer of Illinois, Senator Durbin’s state, or lots of others, routinely goes through his Miranda warnings.

The Guantanamo situation is a tragedy. It is a situation in which they are pretending something happened which did not happen; trying to solve a problem which doesn’t exist, all to make people like us. In the end that never works.

DF: Let’s say we do those back and get back control like you’re talking about and the pendulum pushes the other way and a good conservative is in power. Where to you begin to rebuild and restore this country, to what we, you and I, the people on this phone I know, love and want and that is our vision of this country. Can it be pushed back? Can the destruction be repaired?

DH: Well certainly. Congress can pass a law, and repeal a law with a vote, and the president can sign that law. So the answer to how far we’re going to have to roll this thing back is a function to some degree with what happens to things like this Health Bill that’s going forward right now. Let’s fight and hope they don’t get it. But they may have a lot of things that we’ll have to roll back. But I would say let’s roll back ALL the inhibitors to economic growth.

One thing that I think we should do though is that….the post ’73 Republicans broke away from the party and broke away from our traditions. I think this blind adherence to this concept of so-called ‘free trade’ has been a disaster for the United States. You’re talking in a phone now, if your phone costs a hundred bucks and the same phone is made in China that’s made in the United States. If you make that in China and you send it to the United States for sale, the Chinese government rebates 17 percent back to you in Value Added Tax, if you export to the US. If you are an exporter from the US trying to sell in China, you get 17 percent added to your cost when you cross the docks in China. That’s a 34 point spread, with respect to exports.

Our industrial base is being exported to China. I think that’s a mistake. In fact it’s kind of funny; the Red Army is winning, but they are not winning on the battlefield, they are winning in a move – in regimented fashion – with jobs in China that were formerly held by Americans in this country. So the lack of jobs, lack of blue collar jobs, the lack of manufacturing jobs is to a large degree behind a lot of other problems. For example, the housing industry. To have a solid, healthy housing industry, requires at the base of the pyramid workers who can afford to pay mortgages. And as you evaporate the industrial base of this country – and manufacturers in this country have traditionally been a higher paid sector than service – as you evaporate this constituency of homeowners who because they have good jobs, pay mortgages, you damage the homebuilding industry. Very substantially.

So I think trade is a place where we can work on. You know, I told the President when he wanted me to vote on the South American ‘free trade’ agreement, I said “you know, I like the Bush policy on trade, but it is the policy of Senator Prescott Bush, who in 1962 stood with Barry Goldwater against the Kennedy Trade Liberalization Act”.

And in this country, if you look at the two Republicans on Mount Rushmore, both of them were against this idea of free trade. They liked the idea of protecting American workers. Two of our greatest presidents, arguably. So this Republican adherence to free trade where we are shipping our industry overseas as fast as we can is a mistake. And the problem is democrats have taken it on too. I had the bill that would have allowed for punishment of China, for sanctions against China, for artificially keeping their currency low in order to destroy American exports and boost their exports. Democrats always talked about moving that bill rapidly. When they took control, after they did a few fundraisers on Wall Street, they lost their enthusiasm for my bill...And they never did have a vote on it.

DF: As I recall, you were virtually the lone voice in the last campaign talking about the trade deficit and the issues with China and their arming up. From what I can tell, you continue to be that.

DH: Well, our problem is we need to make sure the Republicans remember their roots. We haven’t traditionally been the free traders. If you go to the cellar of the Capital Hill Club and you look at the old cartoons from the 1890s and early 1900s, you’ll see the one with Teddy Roosevelt standing over a prostrate Grover Cleveland type – I don’t know if it was Grover himself – but Grover Cleveland has “free trade” on his boxing gloves and he’s being knocked out by the Republican, who has got “protection”. And you know now ‘protection’ is used in a pejorative way. But what a national government is with respect to trade is the one time when they are essentially a business representative. Because an individual businessman can’t leave Provo, Utah and go negotiate his own rules for trade with the government of China. When you deal with international trade, our government is your business advocate; it has to be your business advocate. It has to do the right thing with respect to making sure your guys have a level chance of winning in this world trade now. Anyway, that’s a place where the Republican party still needs to find its roots.

AJM: Just to add to this and top it off, Congressman, Ronald Reagan said “we’ll trade with anyone, but we’ll never be anyone’s ‘trade patsy’”. And that’s what we’ve become.

DH: Yeah. Ronald Reagan also said, “when one side is cheating, there is no free trade”. The other sides cheat like crazy! We’ve allowed this one VAT, this value added tax rebate, where every other country in the world rebates value added taxes from 10 to 20 percent. We’ve got 122 trading partners that do that. Yet we don’t get to rebate our income tax to our guys that export. Big, big disparity.

We already know Congressman Hunter supports these three candidates.
