WE ARE ALL AMERICANS - History repeats itself

HotAir reports on the Tea Party Rallies held all over the nation, yesterday April 15th, 2010 and about an NBC interview with a Black American.

O’DONNELL, TO MAN: There aren’t a lot of African-American men at these events.

DARRYL POSTELL, LAUGHING: Right.

O’DONNELL: Have you ever felt uncomfortable?

POSTELL: No, no, these are my people, Americans.

I am reminded of another 'minority' American who tried to set the record and the mood of the nation straight.

General Ely S. Parker, a member of the Seneca tribe,
drew up the articles of surrender which General Robert E. Lee
signed at Appomattox Court House on April 9, 1865.
Gen. Parker, who served as Gen. Ulysses S. Grant’s
military secretary was an educated attorney who was once
rejected for Union military service because of his race.
At the meeting, Gen. Lee was at first taken aback
at the presence of an Indian being in such a position.
After he got to know Parker,
Lee is said to have remarked to him,
“I am glad to see one real American here.”
Parker replied, “We are all Americans.”

Mark Levin made a point today on his radio show that should be thought about!

The Obama administration has been dictating to Israel where they should build settlements for their citizens...on their land by the way. Levin wondered what Hillary might say if an ambassador from Israel told US to stop building in Texas...because it used to belong to MEXICO (as far as the Mexicans are concerned). But as Mark said, it's best NOT to give her or Obama any ideas!
