The argument made by anti-Second
Amendment groups that more legally carried guns on the streets will lead
to a less safe environment took a hit on Monday when a responsible
citizen stepped into a mass stabbing incident. After three people were
stabbed by an assailant, the situation was ended when a man with a gun
appeared. by IWB · August 9, 2017

Yes, Reporters Did Try To Ignore The Lynch-Clinton Scandal —
Multiple Justice Dept. Emails Show It
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 8/11/2017 | Staff
Media Bias: Journalists rushed to the defense of two reporters after President Trump accused them of being "reluctant to cover" the scandalous tarmac meeting between then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Bill Clinton. But a review of the entire cache of email exchanges inside the Justice Department at the time shows that Trump has it right.
Trump was referring to email exchanges between Justice public affairs officials and reporters from The New York Times and the Washington Post. The emails were among the 400-plus pages of internal emails that flew around at Justice soon after a local Phoenix reporter happened to get wind of the off-the-books Lynch-Clinton meeting on June 27, 2016 — just days before the FBI decided to drop its investigation of Hillary Clinton.
In one email, Washington Post reporter Matt Zapotosky writes that "my editors are still pretty interested in it, and I'm hoping I can put it to rest." In another, New York Times reporter Mark Landler appears to complain that he's been "pressed into service" to cover the story.[snip]http://www.investors.com/politics/editorials/trump-is-right-justice-dept-emails-prove-media-were-reluctant-to-cover-lynch-clinton-scandal/

Newly sworn-in Minneapolis cop charged with threatening his wife [Somali cop]
Ahmed Jama's wife said she feared for her life.
A rookie Minneapolis police officer has been charged with threatening his wife during an argument at their home the night before he was sworn in as a member of the city's police force.
Dakota County prosecutors say Ahmed Jama, 29, got into an argument with his wife at the couple's Apple Valley home around 11 p.m. on Aug. 1, according to a criminal complaint. Jama threatened to shoot his wife in the head, authorities said, telling her that he would get away with it.
