A rose is a rose, and AMNESTY is AMNESTY, Newt!




Illegal aliens aren't stupid. They understand their rights and know how to use 'em.
They also understand simple English better than the political class, even a presidential candidate.

No, not 'comprehensive immigration reform' or a 'path to legality'. AMNESTIA! They get it! And they know which candidates are on their side. The 'hispanic community' is solidly behind Gingrich. Newt even has his own Spanish Language outreach program...The Americano.

This is the same tired, deceitful argument we've been having for the last decade....some people just can't admit what amnesty is, and give it all kinds of cute names to disguise it. The saddest part is how many intelligent people often fall for it.

What I need is for someone, ANY one to show me where Newt ever backed building a fence on the border when he wasn't campaigning for president.

The think tank, The National Foundation for American Policy (NFAP), that issued the letter supporting McCain/Kennedy/Bush 'comprehensive immigration reform' is one of many 'non partisan', non profit think tanks Gingrich is involved with. It is replete with articles and statements of support for 'legalization'. But I'll be damned if I can find a word to support Duncan Hunter's fence or for supporting the enforcement of the LAW!

Good GOP soldiers like Sean Hannity keep trying to tell the left and the media that we're all just 'vetting' Obama, like they should have. Too bad he won't 'vet' some of our own candidates a bit better instead of having NEWT on his show ad nauseum without ever getting to the meat of the situation.

Some pundits are calling Michelle Bachmann a 'liar' for being the only candidate with the cajones to call Newt out on his decades long support of AMNESTY. She didn't lie, she just told you what you refuse to hear! Others say Newt was only one of 15 signatures on the Wall St. Journal letter in support of the Bush AMNESTY. True...and the others you had better take notice of! The lot of them are open border, cheap labor, globalist hacks.

Grover Norquist. He was co author of Gingrich's 'contract with America' and the force behind Bush's 'comprehensive immigration reform'. Along with other signatories, he managed to destroy California's Prop. 187 to control illegal immigration. Newt Gingrich describes Norquist as “the most innovative, creative, courageous and entrepreneurial leader of the anti-tax efforts and of conservative grassroots activism in America . . . He has truly made a difference and truly changed American history.”
Where you find Gingrich, you will find Norquist and be saddled with more cheap labor 'trade' agreements like Nafta, Gatt, and any give away to any 3rd world sewer they choose. And where you find them both, you will likely find Karl Rove. Count on it! Rove, Norquist, Gingrich...the 3 headed Trojan horse of the GOP.

And this....for the memory impaired, Newt co sponsored the original 'FairnessLink Doctrine' bill which was meant to shut down conservative talk radio. Yeah, he was for it, before he was against it...one of MANY bad bills Newt tried to hoist upon us all.

And for those of you in the tech industry, who have had their jobs outsourced, House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-GA) supported an increase in the H-1B ceiling. There was a cap of 65,000 H-1B visas per year, until Newt 'fixed it'. The Clinton Administration on February 25, 1998 testified that any increases in the H-1B ceiling must be linked with reforms to ensure that employers try to recruit US workers and to guarantees that H-1B workers do not replace laid-off US workers: "Increased immigration should be the last -- not the first -- public policy
response to skills shortages."

Fifteen authors offer this "Conservative Statement of Principles on Immigration":

In his farewell address to the nation, President Reagan said: "I've spoken of the Shining City all my political life . . . [I]n my mind it was . . . teeming with people of all kinds living in harmony and peace, a city with free ports that hummed with commerce and creativity. And if there had to be city walls, the walls had doors and the doors were open to anyone with the will and heart to get here."

America is a nation of immigrants. Except for Native American Indians, everyone in this country came to America or is here due to the good fortune that a parent, grandparent, or other relation came before them. Keeping a door open to those with the "will and heart to get here" is vital to our economy, our culture, our role in the world, and our historic tradition as a land of freedom and opportunity.

Conservatives believe in legal immigration. We believe that America grows stronger by welcoming those who seek to better their families, work in our industries, and find liberty and refuge from oppression.

Conservatives oppose illegal immigration. We believe there is a right way and a wrong way to immigrate to the U.S. However, as conservatives we believe that our laws must reflect reality and common sense, be fiscally responsible, and avoid the loss of innocent life. Our current immigration laws do not pass this test.

Between 1990 and 2000, the U.S. increased the number of Border Patrol Agents from 3,600 to 10,000. During that same period illegal immigration rose by 5.5. million. Moreover, over the past eight years, more than 2,000 men, women, and children have died attempting to cross into America and seek the opportunity to work and achieve a better life. The status quo is unacceptable and clinging to the status quo -- or tougher versions of it -- is neither conservative nor principled. It has become clear that the only viable approach to reform is combining enforcement with additional legal avenues for those who wish to work in our economy, while also addressing the situation of those already here in the U.S.

President Bush has proposed a new legal path to work in the U.S. through a temporary worker program that will match willing workers with willing employers. We applaud the president and believe his approach holds great promise to reduce illegal immigration and establish a humane, orderly, and economically sensible approach to migration that will aid homeland security and free up border-security assets to focus on genuine threats. The president has shown courage by calling on Congress to place reality over rhetoric and recognize that those already working here outside the law are unlikely to leave. Congress can fulfill its role by establishing sufficient increases in legal immigration and paths to permanent residence to enable more workers to stay, assimilate, and become part of America.

We believe strongly in assimilation and oppose efforts to weaken the historical process that has led to e pluribus unum. While immigrants by and large reject entreaties by those who favor multiculturalism, the best defense is a good offense: making the teaching of English and civics a priority in our schools, community colleges, and adult education programs.

Immigrants are crucial to our competitiveness and future labor and economic growth, as well as our military strength. Our country's welcoming attitude to immigrants will permit the U.S. to grow and prosper, as the populations of many other nations stagnate and decline. Each generation of Americans must connect our nation's past to its future and in so doing keep President Reagan's vision of the "Shining City" alive.

PAY ATTENTION! How have you all forgotten, or chosen to IGNORE the history of Newt Gingrich? TheTownCrier has tried for years to expose his 'moved left' record and now Newt is climbing in the polls for president. I find it astounding!

Newt is for amnesty. In CNN June debate he , not unlike Perry, used the word heartless against those that would like to deport illegal aliens as REQUIRED BY LAW! Either change the
law, or enforce it...at least pick a candidate who might do one or the other!

Gingrich Backs Obamacare’s Individual Mandate Requiring Health Insurance
Appearing on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Gingrich told host David Gregory that he continues to advocate for a plan he first called for in the early 1990s as a Congressman, which requires every uninsured citizen to purchase or acquire health insurance.
Meet the Press in October 1993: “I am for people, individuals -- exactly like automobile insurance -- individuals having health insurance and being required to have health insurance. And I am prepared to vote for a voucher system which will give individuals, on a sliding scale, a government subsidy so we insure that everyone as individuals have health insurance.”

Gregory asked Gingrich if he would criticize GOP presidential rival Mitt Romney, whose "Romneycare" health program enacted during his time as Governor in Massachusetts mandated that all uninsured purchase health insurance.

Gingrich replied he would not make it an issue in the campaign and said he agreed with key aspects of Romneycare.

"I agree that all of us have a responsibility to pay--help pay for health care," Gingrich said, adding, "I've said consistently we ought to have some requirement that you either have health insurance or you post a bond ..."

The dangers of straying off the Democrat plantation! (Is this really about Amnesty??)

There is all kinds of speculation out there about just who may be digging the dirt on Herman Cain. One operative not mentioned yet is one Grover Norquist...closley associated with the National Restaurant Association, who has always been on record , along with Newt Gingrich, in support of amnesty and open borders....the opposite postion of Herman Cain.
Mr. Cain has not only strayed from the liberal race baiting line of the democrat party, but has staked out an 'America first' - anti hispandering position. Oh! The horror!

Days ago, Cong. Frank Wolf gives us his opinion of Norquist, who is throwing his usual monkey wrench into current congressional negotiations. The article asks, " Who is this Grover Norquist, anyhow? To hear Representative Frank Wolf tell it, the antitax activist is a questionable character with some “unsavory” connections who has too much influence over the political process."

Keep in mind, Norquist is a big Rick Perry supporter and close associate of Newt Gingrich, another amnesty pusher and former paid lobbyist for Freddie Mac , for those of you who choose to ignore the fact. The unsubstantiated attack on Cain is a reminder of Norquist tactics we've seen before, in his often too successful attempts to keep illegal aliens pouring into the country.

This entire 'scandal' may not be so much about Herman Cain being black or about sexual 'harassment' as it may be about his support to secure our borders and give jobs to AMERICANS!
