The Enemy Within- Why does the GOP promote Rino's?
But the 'right' wing has their share as well. And where do we see them lately....being promoted for the next presidency. The same old players are being pushed by the GOP failthful...Newt Gingrich, Romney, Huckabee, Haley Barbour, Jeb Bush, Condi Rice and a few new faces like Sarah Palin. One thing, unless Palin changes her confusing tune, they all have in common is being soft on illegal immigration. The old media gives us nothing to look to for 'conservative' representation except the faces of John McCain and Lindsey Graham, two of the biggest amnesty proponents. Our 'conservative' talking heads, instead of focusing on the issues, now are tearing down Glenn Beck, who we owe thanks for exposing the corruption of ACORN and the Obama administration.
And amnesty is coming, one way or the other, bet on it.
Death by a thousand cuts....
Sept. 25, 2009 WASHINGTON — The head of the nation's leading Latino legal advocacy group said if comprehensive immigration legislation seems unlikely in 2010, Congress should make down payments by passing smaller-scale reforms.
In an interview with The Associated Press Friday, Thomas Saenz, president and general counsel of the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, said he fully expects work on rewriting immigration law to begin in Congress next year.
But if Democratic leaders delay, because of elections and a hostile political climate for immigrants, Congress should take up the issue gradually and in smaller ways, Saenz said. Lawmakers could address the need for foreign agricultural workers, provide legal status to high school graduates brought to the country illegally as children, and create equity for same sex partners who want to come to the U.S. or get green cards. Sept 25 2009 - Even though the Border Patrol now reports that almost 1,300 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border is not under effective control, and the Department of Justice says that vast stretches of the border are “easily breached,” and the Government Accountability Office has revealed that three persons “linked to terrorism” and 530 aliens from “special interest countries” were intercepted at Border Patrol checkpoints last year, the administration is nonetheless now planning to decrease the number of Border Patrol agents deployed on U.S.-Mexico border.
ABC News Sept. 24, 2009 The FBI fears the worst case scenario: Illegal immigrants allowed in by corrupt border officials could be terrorists. Statistics show there may be good reason for concern. The illegal immigrants caught at the Mexican border are not just from Central and South America, but literally from around the world.
In the last two years, the government says 2,285 illegal immigrants have been caught coming from China, nearly 1,000 from Europe, and hundreds from nations where terrorism is a major concern -- 80 from Pakistan, 10 from Afghanistan, 36 from Somalia, 19 from Yemen, 25 from Iraq, and 26 from Iran.
The FBI worries the border could be the gateway for terrorists who could enter the U.S. without leaving a clue.
"The risk that it poses to the nation is very grave," said Perkins, "in that they do not know what they are allowing into the country or even who they are allowing into the country."[snip]
Conservatives outnumber liberals and moderates. We just have no representation in government because people keep voting for those who SAY they are conservative, like McCain, Bush, etc, etc, and don’t figure it out until it’s too late that they bought the lie. The majority of the nation has NO party representation.
Sept. 20, 2009....” Self-identified conservatives outnumber self-identified liberals in all 50 states of the union, according to the Gallup Poll.
In 2009, 40% percent of respondents in Gallup surveys that have interviewed more than 160,000 Americans have said that they are either “conservative” (31%) or “very conservative” (9%). That is the highest percentage in any year since 2004.
Only 21% have told Gallup they are liberal, including 16% who say they are “liberal” and 5% who say they are “very liberal." Thirty-five percent of Americans say they are moderate.[snip]
AMNESTY....What does 20 million people actually look like?Do you realize if this AMNESTY happens we are in effect creating the equivilent of adding over 17 more states to this country? And that’s not even considering the chain migration that is in every amnesty bill or the millions of illegal alien anchor babies intent on carrying out the terror of their Mexican drug cartels.
Please look at what giving amnesty to as many as 20,000,000 illegal alien foreign nationals actually represents. More than the population of 16 states and DC!
According to the 2000 census, 18,785,867 is the total populations combined of Wyoming, Dist. of Columbia, Vermont, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Delaware, Montana, Rhode Island, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Maine, Idaho, Nebraska, West Virginia, New Mexico and Nevada.THINK about that! http://towncriernews.blogspot.com/search?q=what+does+amnesty+look+like
