HERO! Sheriff Richard K. Jones' scorn for illegal immigrants isn't subtle.

http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1535179/20060627/index.jhtml?headlines=true

Butler County, Ohio, Sheriff Richard K. Jones

Because of him, a bright yellow sign stands outside the Butler County, Ohio, jail proclaiming, "Illegal Immigrants Here." Posters and billboards throughout the county are emblazoned with the message: "Hire an Illegal - Break the Law!" The warning also features a picture of the sheriff, complete with furrowed brow, arms crossed and gun visibly on his hip.

Sheriff Jones is just one example of citizens at the local level taking immigration matters into their own hands. As the nation awaits a federal decision on immigration reform (see "House Stalls Immigration Reform; Compromise Bill Not Likely Before November Elections"), several municipal officials have stopped waiting and started cracking down on illegal immigrants, which they say is in the public's best interest.

Jones has actively pursued illegal immigrants in his county. He's complained that they're a drain on taxpayers. He's rallied against the government's hemming and hawing over the issue. He's encouraged citizens to boycott businesses that they suspect employ illegal immigrants. Now, he's taking even more action.

In April, the sheriff's department, in conjunction with the U.S. Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, rounded up 10 illegal immigrants who had outstanding warrants or were wanted for false documentation. Since then, Jones has launched a media assault against employers of illegal immigrants and the undocumented workers themselves.

In his blog, Jones wrote that the sheriff's office has been flooded with tips regarding businesses that employ illegal immigrants. He cautions business owners that if they employ illegals, they will be raided. "You know who you are, and we're coming," he wrote.

Jones isn't the only official attempting to curtail the presence of illegal immigrants — they're not welcome in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, either, according to Mayor Lou Barletta. The Republican mayor introduced the Illegal Immigration Relief Act, an ordinance intended to punish those enabling illegal immigrants.

"Let me be clear: This ordinance is intended to make Hazleton one of the most difficult places in the U.S. for illegal immigrants," Barletta said in an open letter to the city. The measure has been tentatively approved but will be have to undergo two more votes before passing.

And his message is, indeed, clear: A friend to illegal immigrants is a foe to the city and will be treated as such.

Under the law, the city plans to deny new and renewed permits to companies that employ illegal immigrants. The expectation is that many businesses might change their views of illegal immigrants, seeing them go from cheap labor to a liability. Additional punitive measures would hold landlords accountable as well. The city would issue a $1,000 fine for each illegal tenant found on a property owner's land.

The push for anti-illegal immigrant legislation in Hazleton stems from a perception that illegals are responsible for much of the city's crime. Barletta cited recent high-profile crimes committed by illegal immigrants as the reason for his tough stance. Two illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic were charged with the murder of a 29-year-old man, and a 14-year-old illegal immigrant was arrested for firing a gun on a playground.

"Illegal immigration leads to higher crime rates, contributes to overcrowded classrooms and failing schools, subjects our hospitals to fiscal hardship and legal residents to substandard quality of care, and destroys our neighborhoods and diminishes our overall quality of life," the proposed ordinance states.

Among the biggest complaints of Barletta and his supporters is the resistance or inability of illegal residents to learn English. The act would establish English as the official language of Hazleton. Consequently, city documents would only be available in English; citizens applying for a permit would have to do so in English.

Other states are navigating a similar course of action. Utah Governor Jon Huntsman Jr. recently received flak for shutting down a Spanish-language state-owned informational Web site after only two weeks. The site, www.espanol.utah.gov, contained selected pages from the state's Web site with translated information about taxes, health services and driver's licenses.

Critics speculate that the governor overreacted to some complaints, shutting down the site in response to mounting tension about immigration reform. The governor defended his actions, claiming uncertainty as to whether the translations of the documents violates Utah's 2000 state law declaring English the official language. A limited version of the site, with fewer pages translated into Spanish, was launched last week.

Despite moderate support for an "English-only" policy, many citizens are concerned that it will widen the cultural breach, possibly alienating legal immigrants. Others claim that these steps are racist. Barletta countered, saying anti-immigration laws are not targeted at a specific race but all illegal immigrants.

Many legal residents, however, fear the backlash from the immigration debate. Citizens are worried that just because of the way they look, they may be treated unjustly or harassed despite their legal status.

"Landlords are going to shut their doors to anyone who may look or sound Latino," Flavia Jimenez, an immigrant policy analyst at the National Council of La Raza, told The Associated Press. "On the other hand, landlords may attempt to actually determine whether a person is undocumented or not and make multiple mistakes because of the complexity of immigration law."

In order to ensure immigration issues are dealt with properly, state and local officials should work closely with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to ICE spokesperson Marc Raimondi.

"Immigration is a very hot-button topic, and it's something that everyone has an opinion on and they're very passionate about it, and that's why it's at the top of the interest list," he said. "But you also need to remember that it's not going to get solved overnight — but it will be solved."

And while the public and the government continue to debate on immigration reform, local officials will no doubt keep trying to extend their reach. But for some, like Barletta, the issue is clear-cut: "To illegal immigrants and those who would hire or abet them in any way, I say your time is up," he said. "You are no longer welcome."

TODAY, AMERICA'S FLAG DROPPED LOWER - Disabled vet attacked by LEO

Much of this country is becoming a state of anarchy with little or no law enforcement protection, especially New Orleans (see article below). But last week a disabled American Veteran was Tazered and arrested by police because he came to a rally with a US Flag on a pole the cops decided might become a weapon.

June 24th, 2006

Morristown, TN (Hamblen County)

TODAY, AMERICA'S FLAG DROPPED LOWER IN EAST TENNESSEE!!!

Dr. Tom E. Lowe DPh

Hamblen County Commissioner

Today, Ol' Glory dropped down the pole a little further. It's reason ???...Violation of Constitutional Rights. But it did NOT "fall" unnoticed.! There were 130-150 witnesses PLUS recorded Video of the entire fiasco by the Local City and County officials who had forgotten their oaths of Office…to Honor, Protect, and Defend The Constitution.

Several weeks in advance of today's date, a peaceful Rally was planned by a group of East and Middle Tennessee Patriots who refer to themselves a "Concerned Citizens of America"…,an ANTI- ILLEGAL group of men & women whose sole purpose is to inform the general public on How they can get involved in STOPPING the Invasion of Illegal Aliens. Permission had been granted to me from the County Mayor, David Purkey whose brother is Sheriff of Hamblen County. He sounded very cooperative and told me where we could plug in our P.A. System…..he even promised me we could use the Large Courtroom of the Courthouse in event of bad weather. County Mayor Purkey told me…"Tom, I'm going to trust you to keep it from being anything racial or controversial [keep this in mind for later]." We were excited and we made the plans, distributed printed pamphlets, etc. We would inform the public of what they could do to contact their Senators & Representatives….Tennessee and Washington. We were to talk about Health related problems, Co$t$ of Illegal Aliens to Economy, clarification of Myths & Facts relating to Aliens, Dangers of Multi-Culturism, Helpful & informative Website addresses. A member who once lived in Tuscon, AZ and was run out by Illegal Alien was to share his and her nightmare.

Today was THE BIG DAY we had all looked forward to….speakers lined up…drinks to sell for funds to support our groups printing expenses…PA System borrowed..etc. However, the scene for the 2 PM rally was an Armed Camp of Hamblen County Sheriffs Deputies, Morristown Police, Tennessee Highway Patrol [from as far away as Putnam County (Cookeville,TN) ], Haz-Mat, Snipers on the roof of the Courthouse, S.W.A.T. team in full Body Armor and M-16 Rifles, Riot Police,…all that was missing were The National Guard Troops ( must have been busy on the Southern Borders answering phones, etc ). The promised power supply for our P.A System had been "cut"…..there went our Communications to the gathered crowd. But, in case that was not enough distraction, they added a Helicopter (THP Chopper) to circle overhead to make sure the public audience could NOT hear anything we said whatsoever.

And Ol' Glory dropped a little further.

To show the public that they meant business, they "took down" a 61 year old Veteran who was trying to 'sneak in' …….an American Flag on an Aluminum pole !!!! They said "it was a dangerous weapon". The Veteran, Ted Ray Mitchell, wanted to hold on to his flag and had a small sign that read…"I served my Country, but NOT for Illegal Aliens". I wish the story ended there but it doesn't. After the Sheriff's Deputies "took down" Mr. Mitchell, they decided to 'TAZER' him (while he was down on the Concrete sidewalk)…they ripped his American Flag out of his hands and hauled him off to jail to be charged with Resisting Arrest and Disorderly Conduct. HOWEVER, our video shows that neither charge is justifiable. It looks more like the Sheriff's Dept. were "training some new Deputies".

Little did those Deputies (of the County Mayor's BROTHER) know….This time last year, Ted Ray Mitchell was in a wheelchair…..from back surgery. He had a "Handicapped Tag" on his car, but had to park 2-3 blocks away and walk because ALL of the 'Handicapped Parking Spaces' were cordoned off for Police, Highway Patrol, and Sheriff's Cars!!!!

The Policemen that were required to take him to jail said to him.."They should not have talked to you or treated you that way"…to which Ted Ray said…."All I wanted to do was attend the rally and display MY Flag."

And Ol' Glory dropped a little further

Ted Ray Mitchell was released from jail later this afternoon on a $3,000 bond. My wife and another Hamblen County Commissioner drove down to the Police Station and obtained a copy of the report…..located Ted Ray….brought him to our house. With his permission, we lifted his shirt and took photos of the marks on his wrists, arms, back….compliments of the City and County Mayors & Law Enforcement agencies.

And Ol' Glory dropped a little more.

Council on Foreign Relations has influence on Bush & Fox; group suggests the ‘Amero’ be the new money of the Americas

rss202

By Ralph Forbes

President Bush’s publicity stunt pretending to protect our borders is worse than a transparent ploy.

Washington bureaucrats, backed by prominent think tanks, are now proposing the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP), which will give you “a safer and more prosperous North America” with “freedom, economic opportunity, and strong democratic institutions.” That’s what the neo-cons promised they’d do to Iraq.

The SPP “trilateral effort to increase security and enhance prosperity” they have planned for us is even worse than what they’ve done for Iraq. Sponsored by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the SPP is the blueprint to drive the last nail into what once was a sovereign constitutional republic. It is NAFTA on steroids.

El Presidente Bush and his amigo Vicente Fox are merging Social Security so that illegal fraudsters can loot the trust fund. While the CFR stooges in Washington export American jobs and our manufacturing foundation to potential foes worldwide, Fox is exporting Mexico’s problems—poverty, crime, drugs and disease—to his colony north of the border.

Apparently unprotected borders aren’t bringing in millions of invaders fast enough for the globalists; they are putting NAFTA on growth hormone by building Interstate 69, a planned 1,600 mile international highway stabbing through America’s heartland from Mexico to Canada.

Bush and Fox are following globalist marching orders to erase the borders; eradicate the American middle class; abolish the Bill of Rights and eliminate even the pretense of constitutional government; to steal what little wealth and security you have left by replacing worthless federal reserve notes with Ameros—that will be worth even less—and to reduce the American people to serfs.

The “Amero,” is the name of the new currency proposed by Robert Pastor, a vice chairman of the CFR task force that produced the report “Building a North American Union.” It will replace the U.S. dollar, the Canadian dollar and the Mexican peso.

Last year, Pastor, the director of the Center for North American Studies at American University, and author of the book, Toward a North American Community, testified before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee in favor of limiting the power and sovereignty of the United States in deference to the CFR’s desired super-regional entity.

Building a North American Union is the blueprint contrived by globalist groups like the CFR and Bilderberg. The North American Union is proposed to supplant the sovereign governments of the United States, Canada and Mexico with a “super-regional governance board.”

Under the North American Union, Congress is to be superseded by a North American Parliamentary Group. As corrupt as Congress is, an unelected “parliamentary group” would be infinitely worse.

As bad as many court rulings are, the North American Union’s Permanent Tribunal on Trade and Investment would have supremacy over the U.S. Supreme Court, amassing entangling precedents and laying the groundwork for North American business law. It would make Americans nostalgic for even the Warren court.

As ineffectual as “Homeland Security,” FEMA, and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement have been in securing our borders, do Americans really want them replaced by the North American Union’s North American Customs and Immigration Service, which would have authority over American immigration policy and trade issues?

Pastor wants the trilateral SPP institutionalized in a new North American Advisory Council [NAAC]. NAAC would be composed of 15 distinguished individuals, five from each nation, to prepare a North American agenda for biannual summits and to supervise the implementation of the integration of the United States and Canada into Mex-America Nuevo Supremo.

Quite often, when I encounter an open border type, it becomes apparent that, for them at least, this country is too WASPish in nature and is not brown-skinned enough, and if it takes a complete disregard of our laws to change this situation, then so be it.

Two major groups of people exhibit this attitude. Those who are brown skinned themselves (which I can understand), and those who are not, but suffer extreme guilt pangs for being too white (which I cannot).

ShouldSomeone VOTE before we merge Canada, Mexico and the USA? The NorthAmericanUnion!

PHOTOMap: The new super highway planned to split right up the middle of the USA

Lou Dobbs is covering the implementation of the North American Union on CNN tonight.

In his poll he asks:

Do you think someone should take a vote before merging Canada, Mexico and the United States?

Yes 98% 9562 votes

No 2% 242 votes

Total: 9804 votes

Aired 6/21/2006 3PM pacific

Also tonight, the Bush administration is pushing ahead with a plan to create a North American union with Canada and Mexico. You haven't heard about that? Well, that's because Congress hasn't been consulted, nor the American people.

Bill Tucker reports on a new North American partnership that gives Mexico further control over this nation's dwindling sovereignty, its economy, and our very security.

The Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America sounds benign, hardly like a policy that critics call NAFTA on steroids. It's a deal that few have even heard of.

REP. MARCY KAPTUR (D), OHIO: It's being done, again, by very few people at the very top, on behalf of the investment class. But the working class of people, political officials across our country from communities, from cities and so forth, they don't know anything about this.

TUCKER: Yet, it was agreed to by Mexico's President Fox, Canada's Prime Minister Martin, and President Bush in 2005.

The administration officials counter their critics by saying everything about SPP is on the White House Web site. And they say the partnership is not a treaty, but more of an outline of priorities between the United States, Mexico and Canada. Still, some wonder why there haven't been public discussions about the goals being pursued. UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This SPP includes, for instance, a committee that is sitting down to harmonize our meat inspection and food safety. So, how far away from a trade agreement can your dining room table and what you feed your kids be?

TUCKER: Other parts of the agreement mention border security as an issue, which include all of North America. In fact, the name of the agreement is not Security and Prosperity of the United States, but of North America.

PETER MORICI, PROFESSOR OF INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS, UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND: When we elect officials, we expect them to act on our behalf. When we get involved in cooperative frameworks with other countries for joint regulation of fisheries or rail transportation or the skies, we're basically sharing our sovereignty with that government and outsourcing some of what we give our elected officials.

TUCKER: As disturbing as some find SPP, there is legislation in the House introduced by Florida's Katherine Harris that closely resembles the goals of the partnership.

TUCKER: Included in that bill is a section which calls for the securing of Mexico's southern border by the United States and Canada.

Lou, that's not the border with the United States. That's the border they share with Belize and Guatemala.

DOBBS: The idea that the White House would respond that this is on their Web site, this involves intricate workings amongst the Commerce Department of this country and Canada and Mexico's, of course.

A regional prosperity and security program? This is absolute ignorance. And the fact that we are -- we reported this, we should point out, when it was signed. But, as we watch this thing progress, these working groups are continuing. They're intensifying. What in the world are these people thinking about?

TUCKER: Well, they say, look, these are a declaration and an outline of our priorities.

And when I called them today, Lou, they said I was the first phone call they had received literally since the deal was first signed. So, people are not paying attention. And they're letting them, in fact, get away with this.

DOBBS: You know, I was asked the other day about whether or not I really thought the American people had the stomach to stand up and stop this nonsense, this direction from a group of elites, an absolute contravention of our law, of our Constitution, every national value.

And I hope, I pray that I'm right when I said yes. But this is -- I mean, this is beyond belief.

That brings us to the subject of our poll tonight: Do you think maybe somebody should take a vote if we're going to merge the United States with Canada and Mexico, maybe, you know, people like you and me vote? Yes or no. Please cast your vote at LouDobbs.com.

THE NEW WORLD DISORDER Bush 'super-state' documents sought FOIA request filed to expose plans for 'North American union' Posted: June 20, 2006 1:00 a.m. Eastern

© 2006 WorldNetDaily.com

Author Jerome Corsi filed a Freedom of Information Act request yesterday asking for full disclosure of the activities of an office implementing a trilateral agreement with Mexico and Canada that apparently could lead to a North American union, despite having no authorization from Congress.

As WorldNetDaily reported, the White House has established working groups, under the North American Free Trade Agreement office in the Department of Commerce, to implement the Security and Prosperity Partnership, or SPP, signed by President Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox and then-Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin in Waco, Texas, March 23, 2005.

Corsi specifically has requested the partnership's membership lists, constitutive documents, meeting minutes, meeting agendas and meeting schedules as well as all findings, reports, presentations or memoranda.

He also wants all comments to representatives of the "Prosperity Working Groups" or other working groups, committees or task forces associated with the partnership along with internal and external interagency or intra-agency memoranda of understanding, letters of intent, agreements, initiatives and budgeting documents.

Corsi believes President Bush effectively agreed to erase U.S. borders with Mexico and Canada when he signed the SPP.[snip]

Bush Administration Quietly Plans NAFTA Super Highway
Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.

Once complete, the new road will allow containers from the Far East to enter the United States through the Mexican port of Lazaro Cardenas, bypassing the Longshoreman's Union in the process. The Mexican trucks, without the involvement of the Teamsters Union, will drive on what will be the nation's most modern highway straight into the heart of America. The Mexican trucks will cross border in FAST lanes, checked only electronically by the new "SENTRI" system. The first customs stop will be a Mexican customs office in Kansas City, their new Smart Port complex, a facility being built for Mexico at a cost of $3 million to the U.S. taxpayers in Kansas City.

As incredible as this plan may seem to some readers, the first Trans-Texas Corridor segment of the NAFTA Super Highway is ready to begin construction next year. (snip)

Here's part of that:
Texas Segment of NAFTA Super Highway Nears Construction
http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php? id=15682

The Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) is ready to begin construction in 2007, building the first segment of what is planned to be a NAFTA Super Highway stretching from Mexico to Canada. As we have previously written, the NAFTA Super Highway is planned to begin at Laredo, Tex., proceeding north to Kansas City via Oklahoma City, and ultimately connecting with Canadian limited-access highways north of Duluth, Minn.

On March 11, 2005, a "Comprehensive Development Agreement" was signed by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to build the "TTC-35 High Priority Corridor" parallel to Interstate 35. The contracting party involved a limited partnership formed between Cintra Concesiones de Infraestructuras de Transporte, S.A., a publically listed company headquartered in Spain, owned by the Madrid-based Groupo Ferrovial, and a San Antonio-based construction company, Zachry Construction Corp.[snip]

Marx's racism
by Dr. Walter E Williams
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article.asp? ARTICLE_ID=50724

[snip]
Karl Marx is the hero of some labor union leaders and civil-rights organizations, including those who organized the recent protest against proposed immigration legislation. It's easy to be a Marxist if you haven't read his writings. Most people agree that Marx's predictions about capitalism turned out to be dead wrong.

What most people don't know is that Marx was an out and out racist and anti-Semite. He didn't think much of Mexicans. Concerning the annexation of California after the Mexican-American War, Marx wrote: "Without violence, nothing is ever accomplished in history." Then he asks, "Is it a misfortune that magnificent California was seized from the lazy Mexicans who did not know what to do with it?" Friedrich Engels, Marx's co-author of the "Manifesto of the Communist Party," added, "In America, we have witnessed the conquest of Mexico and have rejoiced at it. It is to the interest of its own development that Mexico will be placed under the tutelage of the United States." Much of Marx's ideas can be found in a book written by former communist Nathaniel Weyl, titled "Karl Marx, Racist" (1979).

A man walked into a curio shop in Galveston Texas.

Looking around at the exotica, he noticed a very life-like,
life-size bronze statue of a rat. It had no price tag, but it looked
so striking that he decided he must have it.

He took it to the owner and asked "How much is the bronze rat?"

"Twelve dollars for the rat, a hundred dollars if you bring it back,"
said the owner.

The man gave the shop owner twelve dollars. "I'll take the rat; And I
won't be bringing it back."

As he walked down the street carrying the bronze rat, he noticed that
a few real rats had crawled out of alleys and sewers, and began
following him down the street. This was a bit disconcerting, so he
began to walk a little bit faster. Within a couple of blocks, the
group of rats behind him grew to over a hundred, and they began
squealing.

He started to trot towards the Harbor. He took a nervous look around
and saw that the rats numbered in the thousands, maybe in the
millions, and they were all squealing and coming towards him faster
and faster. Terrified, he ran to the edge of the water and threw the
bronze rat as far out into the Harbor as he could. Amazingly, the
millions of rats all jumped into the water after it,and were drowned.

The man walked back to the curio shop.

"Aha," said the owner, "You're bringing it back !"

"Actually no," said the man. "I came back to see how much you
want for that little bronze Mexican over there."

Here is a term that describes what is happening with this invasion of illegal aliens.

irredentism

irredentist One who advocates the recovery of territory culturally or historically related to one's nation but now subject to a foreign government.

Irredentism is claiming a right to territories belonging to another state on the grounds of common ethnicity and/or prior historical possession, actual or alleged. The word was coined in Italy from the phrase Italia irredenta ("unredeemed Italy"). This originally referred to Austro-Hungarian rule over mostly or partly Italian-inhabited territories in the northern Adriatic such as Trentino and Trieste during the 19th and early 20th century. An area subjected to an irredentist claim is therefore sometimes called an irredenta.

"Triadic nexus" of irredenta conflict

In his 1996 book, Nationalism Reframed, Rogers Brubaker outlined a pattern to describe a common theme of irredentist conflict, referred to as the "triadic nexus".

Irredenta conflict is a conflict between three parties: a nationalizing state, a national movement representing an ethnic minority within that state, and an external national homeland, to which that minority is construed as ethnically belonging. Brubaker's triadic nexus is a visual representation of this, granting each party a corner of the triangle. The implication is that the national minority is caught between the nationalizing state within whose borders it exists, and the external homeland to which it is seen as belonging.

snip.... TODAY, we have nearly 11,000 criminals invading our country each and every night and the murder rate from them is over 18 dead each day and nothing is done.

And again, these millions of people flooding our southern border -- 11,000 a night -- are now being supported, and even funded, by al Qaeda and the Mexican drug cartels.

Crime is rampant throughout all of the countries south of our border. The murder rate for Mexico -- in Mexico -- is about 18 dead per 100,000. Yes, that is 18,000 people murdered every year inside Mexico -- a country with a 100 million population. The murder rate for the USA is about 4 per 100,000 -- a country with about 300 million people. So, yes, Mexico kills as more people than we do but they have one third the population so that really does mean that their citizens kill at a rate that is more than three times that of the people in the United States. Certainly, not everyone in Mexico is a murderer. But there is one truth to murder everywhere on earth:

Almost all murderers anywhere on earth are males between the ages of 15 and 34.

And this is where things get very interesting. About 98 of every 100 illegals crossing our border are Mexican males between the ages of 15 and 34.

This is SENATOR SESSIONS whose own staff READ THE ACTUAL BILL AND EXPOSED DOZENS OF HIDDEN PROVISIONS THAT ACTUALLY GUT THE BILLS ENFORCEMENT PROVISIONS...
http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=15165

"It is clear the people who drafted this legislation had an agenda and the agenda was not to meet the expectations of the American people. The agenda was to create a facade and appearance of enforcement, an appearance of toughness in some instances. When you get into the meat of the provisions and get into the bill and study it, tucked away here and there are laws that eviscerate and eliminate the real effectiveness of those provisions. It was carefully done and deliberately done. This is a bill that should not become law."

Smart Businesses That Use Verification Program

This website is a must see!

http://www.smartbusinesspractices.com/pilotcompanies.php

Below are links to the thousands of businesses across the country that already are participating in the federal Basic Pilot program, the easy-to-use electronic employment eligibility verification system.

Use of the
Basic Pilot program makes smart business sense because it ensures that all new hires have a legal right to work in the United States. And it protects employers from fines and penalties for knowingly or unknowingly hiring illegal foreign workers.

It also makes customers happy. Most Americans want to frequent businesses that hire legal workers.

Simply click on any state abbreviation in the grid below to see a list of that state’s businesses that currently use the Basic Pilot program.

Many local businesses are in national chains which make a decision at their corporate headquarters for all parts of their operation. You can find these chain headquarters and any other business nationally and locally by clicking on the alphabetical or city grids below:

Our lists of businesses were updated as of April 15, 2006. If you know of a business that has since signed up for the verification program, please click here to let us know.

BUSINESS OWNERS:
If your company is not listed here, you will want to take steps to get on the list as soon as possible to avoid the public’s disapproval.

CONSUMERS: Supporting businesses that hire legal workers is one of the most effective things one can do to encourage these businesses to continue to be leaders in their communities and to persuade other businesses to begin using the Basic Pilot program.

When you patronize any business, make a point of telling the clerks, managers, waiters, hosts and other personnel that you either approve of their being part of the verification program or that you are disappointed that they aren’t – and perhaps that you are considering discontinuing your relationship with them if you don’t see their name show up on this list.

The more businesses that join this program, the more illegal aliens who will voluntarily go back to their home countries. More than 200,000 long-time settled illegal aliens in this country already leave the U.S. each year because the tiny bit of enforcement now in place makes their lives too uncomfortable. Imagine how many more will leave as fewer and fewer businesses are available to hire them.

Illegal Alien Invasion Deadlier Than Iraq

THIS is an overlooked classic, though a few months old. See other articles on this blog (Cong. Steve King, Mike Cutler, etc) that put the figures as much as 25 deaths per day at the hands of illegal aliens.

Illegal Alien Invasion Deadlier Than Iraq

http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=10663

by Mac Johnson
Posted Dec 05, 2005

When your first acts in America are to illegally sneak in, lie about your status, obtain fraudulent identification, deceive public services and solicit an itinerant job in the underground economy, people have a right to ask what sort of neighbor you might become.

The illegal alien’s life of deceit and struggle would seem to appeal only to those very desperate to leave their homelands. And the failed societies which inspire such desperation in their poor tend to be much more violent than the United States. “How much of this violence is imported into the United States with these desperate migrants?” is thus an obvious question to be asked in the debate over the costs and benefits of tolerating millions of such immigration criminals.

It may be an obvious question, but there is little attempt to answer it by government. Given that the first responsibility of government is to protect the lives of its citizens, this is surprising. Or it would be, if my last shred of idealism had not long ago been euthanized by my sense of reality on the subject of our willfully neglected borders.

If records on the homicide associated with illegal immigration exist, the obscurity in which they are shrouded is inviolate. After failing to find such information on the websites of numerous federal agencies, I spoke with a press representative of the FBI. Although very polite, he was very sure that murders by illegal aliens was not the sort of thing the FBI would keep track of, and so he gave me the phone number of a representative of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Division of the Department of Homeland Security. This got me off the phone with the FBI.

The lady at ICE was also a very polite, and suggested that I call the FBI. After I explained that I just had, she then suggested that I check the Statistical Yearbook on the internet. And after I explained that I had pretty much read the whole thing already, she gave me the number of somebody at the Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS). This got me off the phone with the ICE.

The BJS spokesman was not very polite at all, but was knowledgeable. He explained that no one kept track of illegal alien murders and that the closest thing to such a record would be the applications to the State Criminal Alien Assistance Program of the Federal Government (SCAAP). This program is designed to stop border states from organizing against illegal immigration by reimbursing them millions of dollars in costs associated with imprisoning any illegal aliens convicted of either one felony or two misdemeanors. Since the records of the program simply trigger the transfer of huge sums of Federal tax money, they are not very informative or accessible. He suggested that I contact all 50 state governors.

I am dumb, thus I did. In doing so, I clearly identified myself as a very important press-associated person, confident that this would trigger quick and thorough responses. In the next three months, I received almost one dozen responses to my 50 queries. Two contained useful information. Vermont, wonderfully isolated as always, told me about the illegal aliens in its prison system—all 49 of them. The answer from Florida was excellent and very thorough, but the data simply do not exist.

No one knows the cost in lives of illegal immigration. This seems unacceptable to me. After some thought, I have arrived at my own approximation of the number. The estimate is crude, but is based on real numbers and as few assumptions as I could manage. If you disagree with it, just send me a better estimate.

While the murder rate among illegal aliens in America is unknown, we do have fair estimates of how many illegal migrants are here, and what countries they came from. The murder rates in most of these countries are known and published by the United Nations (which means the figures must be correct). If one then simply assumes that each nationality of alien commits murder at the same rate in America as it would in its homeland, it is then possible to arrive at an estimate of the probable rate of murder by illegal aliens in America.

Put more plainly, I assumed that 3,871,912 Mexicans in America kill at the same rate as 3,871,912 Mexicans in Mexico, then did the same for 336,717 Salvadorans, 77,000 Brazilians, 226,886 Chinese and 39 other categories of illegal alien—as totaled in a Census Bureau estimate of the illegal alien population in 2000. The report’s total figure was that 8.7 million illegal aliens are in our country. It should be noted that this estimate would be considered low by many sources. But I tried to be as conservative as possible with all figures. My estimate is therefore low, I believe.

(If you don’t like numbers, skip the next two paragraphs further explaining the estimate.)

Using the above method, I estimated that illegal aliens kill 1,480 people in America every year. This assumes that the 8.7 million illegal aliens in America have a population age structure and a sex ratio similar to that of their homelands. Most murders are committed by young males. If the illegal population in America is skewed toward young males, as most believe, the murder total is actually much higher. Comparing the age structure of the population of illegal aliens that applied for amnesty during the Reagan administration (according a GAO report) to the current age structure of the population of Mexico (according to the US Census Bureau), I found that people aged 22 to 45 years old were overrepresented in the amnesty pool. Adjusting the murder rate using FBI homicide perpetrator age-cohort information for the United States (see why you need to pay attention in math class, kids?), the total is more likely to be 1,806 murders per year.

Sex ratio is harder to estimate. I have seen data indicating a 1:1 ratio of males to females in the illegal alien population, and I have seen claims that it is 90% male, as well as many figures in between. A catalog of deaths of illegal immigrants in the deserts of the Southwest (most either from exposure, automobile collisions or, interestingly, from homicide) on a “human rights” website had a ratio among the dead of 3:1 male to female. I was unable to resolve the sex ratio issue to my satisfaction. Our enforcement system is so inadequate that I could see it being no obstacle to even a pregnant woman in fashionable shoes, favoring the 1:1 ratio. But my intuition is that illegal adventures in foreign lands appeal disproportionately to testosterone-clouded minds, favoring a male bias to the ratio. Thus, I made three calculations, based on the population being 50% male (1,806 murders), 60% male (2,076 murders), or 75% male (2,510 murders). If we adjusted for the social class of the migrants, the total would climb higher. But I could find no data making this adjustment possible. Also, the sort of people who are willing to break our laws to enter are probably of a more criminal nature than those who wait for permission, meaning that the illegal alien population could be more violent than the population of their homelands as a whole. But again, there was no way to correct for this possible skewing of the population, so the estimates were left arguably too low.

So the upshot, for the journalism majors that just rejoined the article, is that a simplistic good-faith estimate is that illegal aliens kill between 1,806 and 2,510 people in the United States each year. We have just passed the much-vaunted 2,000 deaths mark in the invasion of Iraq, a necessary endeavor. In that same 32 months, there have possibly been between 4,800 and 6,700 deaths in the invasion of the United States by illegal aliens, a corrupt endeavor tolerated in a frivolous pursuit of cheap labor.

Given that 16,528 murders were committed in the entire United States in 2004, this estimate—if correct—would mean that illegal aliens (3% of the population in the Census Bureau Estimate used in this analysis) commit between 11% and 15% of all the murders in the United States each year. The murder rate for the illegal alien population in this model, 20 to 29 homicides per year per 100,000 persons, would thus be 400% to 500% the rate of the combined native-born and legal immigrant populations.

Even if American policing, a desire by illegal aliens to remain obscure, or other factors reduced the murder rate in the illegal alien population to just half the rate in their native countries, we are still paying a very high price in lives for our abject failure to enforce our own immigration laws.
Thousands may be dying—but at least our lawns look nice.

Against the Will of the American People - Important!

During a round table discussion aired June 12 on Lou Dobbs Tonight, Robert Rector and other experts explained some facts about the Senate Bill pretending to be immigration reform and the hidden increased immigration and costs that will break the budget of the USA. Every American needs to understand their words. Rector, with the Heritage Foundation, along with the office of Budget and Management, recently disclosed huge increased numbers of immigration and expenses.

Rector emphatically expressed, " I think that every time we do immigration, what we do is we do it completely against the will of the American people. The American people by a ratio of about 4-1 want less immigration, not more. But here we have a bill that grants amnesty and citizenship to every illegal, just about and then on top of that, it's going to double legal immigration.

And mainly the people coming in are going to be people -- high school dropouts, who tend to have children without being married. We are vastly expanding the welfare state.

We already have a vast welfare system. We spend close to $600 billion a year. What we're doing now is importing a vast new welfare clientele from Central America. And we simply can't afford to do that. That's what this bill does.

We can't really also discuss the fact that, my goodness, if you're bringing in high school dropouts who aren't married and have children out of wedlock, what are they going to do? They're going to be on welfare. It's why this is the largest expansion of welfare in at least 35 years. It is going to cost at least $70 billion a year. Those costs are going to smash into the government, exactly at the time Social Security starts to go into crisis."

George Grayson, professor at William and Mary College added, "I think one of the ironies is, Lou, that it will make some Americans second- class citizens. And excuse my referring to notes here, but I want to be concise.

For example, if a guest worker alleges that he has been terminated without just cause, then he can have an arbitration hearing, which is paid for by U.S. taxpayers and possibly get his job back. If an American worker, who happens to lose his job, wants to contest the firing, he has little grounds to stand on because he's hired at will.

My view is that if the guest worker program were for college professors, editorial writers and immigration lawyers, there would be a lot more opposition to it."

Barry Chiswick, economics professor at the University of Chicago states, "And probably the most significant impact on the labor market is that it reduces the employment opportunities and earnings of low-skilled workers who are citizens of the United States. And this is something that I think is unfortunate that there's too little public attention focused on this."

All nations have myths. And one of our myths is that any and all immigrants are equally desirable and equally beneficial for the national economy. And we know from substantial research that that simply is not the case. That high-skilled immigrants have very different impacts than low-skilled immigrants. We also know that there's a limited absorptive capacity in terms of immigration, and that slower paces of immigration are easier to absorb than large, sudden influxes of immigrants. But these issues seem to not be on the table. --------------

COMPREHENSIVE, SCIENTIFIC POLL ON IMMIGRATION!

DOBBS: This broadcast commissioned a national, comprehensive poll on illegal immigration, border security and the legislation now being debated in Washington.

Asked who they believe would do a better job of securing this nation's borders, an interesting split. Thirty-five percent of those surveyed said congressional Democrats, 31 percent said Republicans. Unsure doing just a little better.

But nearly two-thirds are not confident that Congress and the pass will, this term, pass comprehensive immigration reform. Only one in 10 expressed their feelings as very confident. And we should point out, this poll had over 1,000 respondents.

Concerning enforcement measures, more than three-quarters of Americans surveyed in this poll say there should be more border patrol and more federal law enforcement agents on the border with Mexico to stem the tide of illegal immigration. And six in 10 Americans want stiff fines imposed on employers who hire illegal aliens.

More than half want to send national guard troops to the border with Mexico. And 45 percent agree with building a fence along the border with Mexico, that's within -- it's about an even split within just about the margin of error.

Forty percent want employers who hire illegal aliens to go to jail. And fully two-thirds of Americans surveyed agree with deportation of illegal aliens -- again, two-thirds. A quarter disagree. Sixty-seven percent of those surveyed would like to see the number of illegal aliens in this country decline. And fully 26 percent say the numbers should remain the same while two percent want to increase the number of illegals.

Welcoming The 21st Century Paul Revere Riders

Frosty Wooldridge and The 21st Century Paul Revere Riders
TheTownCrier

June 10, 2006

(Medford, Or ) As scheduled, The 21st Century Paul Revere Riders rolled in on their Harleys to cheers and applause from about 200 Southern Oregonians and Northern Californians displaying their appreciation to Frosty Wooldridge and his crew of dedicated patriot activists. The mainstream media was well represented by Bill Meyer, KMED Radio, local television affiliates, and others.

The American flag clad riders left Colorado last week with signs proclaiming, "How Many People Are Enough?" and "Seal the Borders".

Of the 48 states, they bring their message of the dire consequences of illegal immigration to, so far they have met crowds of support in Montana, Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon, doing dozens of TV and radio interviews along the way heading south to California.

Frosty is not a silversmith like the namesake of this endeavor, but an author, lecturer, columnist or he’s bicycling the back roads of Europe, to get a glimpse of what unreasonable and illegal immigration has done to our neighbors across the sea.

Still he finds time to educate and stand tall for all his fellow Americans in the battle over illegal immigration. Frosty wrote about it all in his book, "Immigration's Unarmed Invasion", before the rest of us realized there was a problem. In his “spare” time, you’ll find him on the Mexican border helping out the MinuteMenProject and speaking on most well known radio talk shows across the country.

“Every race, creed and color of American bears a stake in the outcome of this invasion”, is the message of inclusion and hope that Frosty brings to all American citizens.

If you need a dose of enthusiasm, Frosty Wooldridge is the man you need to meet.

The five permanent riders are Frosty, Rick Chiesa, Micha Hardy, Cindy Roddenbury, Don McKee, with brother Howard Wooldridge and Glen Colton driving support vehicles. They will be in your state soon, don’t miss the opportunity to meet Frosty and the good Americans traveling our nation on this 21st Century Paul Revere Ride.

I might add, one of the ladies is an immigrant herself. A proud, LEGAL immigrant.

Silence on illegals speaking volumes- American deaths

More American deaths EVERY YEAR by illegal aliens than killed in Iraq war!

Silence on illegals speaking volumes

Shocking. Horrifying. Atlanta, June 8, 2006 A 9-year-old boy is axed in the head on a beautiful summer evening just blocks from where I grew up in Sandy Springs.

Police believe they shot and killed the perpetrator of this atrocity after a chase and a fight, but they're still looking for a "red car with a wobbly wheel" whose passengers also may be involved. What really happened and why a child would be the target of such ruthlessness is still speculation at the time of my deadline.

On a previous night, a newlywed couple enjoys a horse-drawn carriage ride near the Marietta Square. Usually idyllic, the evening gives way to blood and pain as an old minivan rams them and the man driving escapes into the night, unwilling to heed four victims' cries for help.

In east Cobb, two men stalk a mom after puncturing her tire at a bank. Just minutes later, she feels lucky to have escaped with her life after her money is taken on the side of the road.
In the parking lot of a local jewelry store, South American gang members conduct surveillance on unsuspecting traveling salespeople, who'll soon be victims of their increasingly violent heists. Atlanta now ranks sixth in the nation for these multi-million dollar interstate crimes.

Add up all of these recent news stories and more, and the common denominator among them is that the bad guys are routinely able to find a safe haven among illegal immigrant communities surging in metro Atlanta.

Conversations I've had recently with law enforcement officials point to this being one of their biggest frustrations on the job - one felt for years. Meanwhile, Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin signed a City Council resolution last month saying Atlanta police should not be required to enforce immigration laws, or even detain illegals charged with criminal acts, unless the city receives "sufficient reimbursement" to do so.

According to Perry McGuire, the GOP candidate for attorney general in Georgia, this resolution is tough on our police. "The City of Atlanta is now holding law enforcement hostage to the compensation issue," he said in a recent Atlanta Business Chronicle op-ed piece.

As if this "don't ask, don't tell" craziness isn't bad enough, locating the bad guys is getting tougher each day, say friends in the trenches. Most illegal immigrant criminals don't have a lease or driver's license and stay in enclaves where false identities are the norm. They're often used to a culture of violence, especially if they're from places like El Salvador (witness the rise of violent machete-wielding gangs like MS-13).

"They hit and run like guerilla fighters," I'm told, using our porous borders as a revolving door.

So my question for Shirley Franklin and others going easy on illegals is this: Where are the liberal voices raised against criminal atrocities in our own cities?

The silence is deafening.

More on this story:

Atlanta-AP) June 6, 2006 - A Fulton County police officer shot and killed a man after a child was killed with an ax. Fulton County police spokesman Gary Syblis says authorities were called to the scene where a nine-year-old child was found outside with an ax in his face Monday evening.

Police said the man they killed - 22-year-old Santos Cabrera of Sandy Springs - has a criminal record. For most of the day Tuesday, authorities said they were sure Cabrera was the man who struck the child. Late Tuesday, though, Atlanta Police Lieutenant Dexter White said authorities were unsure and were still investigating.

The boy, Jordan Paulder, was playing with two other children outside an apartment complex when a car pulled up around 8:20pm Monday. According to a police report, the boy called out to the people in the car to say that something was wrong with one of the vehicle's wheels.

The report says one of the occupants of the car then made an obscene gesture. When the boy tried to tell the people he was just trying to help them, a man got out of the car and struck him in the face with an ax.

While on the scene, an officer approached a man who was acting suspiciously. The man ran across the street to an apartment complex, where he threw a tire at the officer, breaking the officer's arm.

Syblis says the man then came at the officer, swinging a piece of metal. That's when the officer opened fire, shooting the suspect three times. The man died at a hospital. Paulder also died after being taken to the hospital.

Deaths of Americans/ A day without illegal Aliens
From Cong. Steve King
What would that May 1st look like without illegal immigration? There would be no one to smuggle across our southern border the heroin, marijuana, cocaine, and methamphetamines that plague the United States, reducing the U.S. supply of meth that day by 80%. The lives of 12 U.S. citizens would be saved who otherwise die a violent death at the hands of murderous illegal aliens each day. Another 13 Americans would survive who are otherwise killed each day by uninsured drunk driving illegals. Our hospital emergency rooms would not be flooded with everything from gunshot wounds, to anchor babies, to imported diseases to hangnails, giving American citizens the day off from standing in line behind illegals. Eight American children would not suffer the horror as a victim of a sex crime. (That is every day!! by an illegal alien)

On the negative side, the price of a pound of tomatoes might go up from $0.79 to $0.80. That is unless you have a garden. But I'm guessing that the Mexican drug lords are not taking May 1st off. Neither will the 11,000 illegal invaders that pour over our border every other day of the year. ."[SNIP ]

Poll: Voters Reject Senate Guest-Worker Plan 2 to 1!

http://www.alipac.us/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1281

Mon. June 5, 2006

A new Zogby poll of likely voters finds that Americans prefer, by two to one, the House of Representatives’ enforcement-only bill to the Senate’s plan to grant guest-worker status. Sixty-four percent of Americans support the House bill, with only 30 percent supporting the Senate plan. Support for the enforcement-only approach by itself also proves to be widespread, with 81 percent of Republicans, 72 percent of Independents, 57 percent of Democrats, and 53 percent of Hispanics supporting the enforcement-only House bill.

by Matthew A. Roberts
Politics of Prudence

Regarding legal immigration, this poll demonstrates that Americans want less - not more - immigration, with only two percent responding that current immigration levels are too low. The Senate plan, which would increase legal immigration from one to two million a year, appears blatantly at odds with the wishes of voters. Americans, through and through, do not think we need more people, not even for low-paying jobs. Seventy-four percent of likely voters think that there are enough Americans to fill low-wage jobs, if employers would pay and treat employees better.

What do these numbers mean? Most Democrats, President Bush, and many Republicans in the Senate are out of touch. This news could be particularly damaging for Democrats, given that a majority of their constituents generally supports an enforcement-only approach. It could also be foreboding for certain Republicans (like Senators McCain, Brownback, DeWine, or Graham) who currently attempt to auction off citizenship for (unlikely) future votes. Senate Republicans ignoring their base on immigration will likely benefit Democrats this November. Many Republicans are so angry over the guest-worker proposal that they may vote third-party or not vote at all.

This poll is the first to ask the question - using neutral language - whether likely voters prefer the House bill (enforcement-only) or Senate (guest-worker) plan. This outcome interestingly depicts that despite all the pro-amnesty rhetoric in the liberal media, 64 percent of Americans still favor an enforcement-only approach. If we were to have a more balanced media, with more opponents of immigration allowed to speak, this number would possibly jump from 64 to 80 percent.

Although previous polls showed that more Americans may support a guest-worker plan, the wording of such polls proved at best questionable, at worst blatantly biased. Critics have always been skeptical of previous polls, especially when almost every person you know - Democrat or Republican - says he wants the same thing: (1) no guest-worker plan, (2) a border secured by guards and a physical fence, and (3) a massive reduction in legal and illegal immigration.
