THE NO ILLEGAL ALIEN LEFT BEHIND ACT

TheTownCrier

So, here we are, patiently waiting for our leaders to address the growing crisis of the illegal alien population of somewhere between 12 and 20 million foreign nationals .

Illegal aliens and their masters are marching in our streets across the country by the thousands demanding “their rights”.

The house of Representatives passed HR4437, a good start on border security.

Polls month after month testify that Americans want the border secured and the invaders out.

But, oh no! The elitist Senate is going to transform border security into amnesty for millions of border jumpers and visa over stays plus create new classes of legal permanent residents to be brought in for future years. Senator Durbin finally got his “Dream Act” included so illegal alien students will never pay out of state tuition like our US citizen children must.

In December, Sen. Jim Inhofe (R) introduced S2117, a thorough enforcement bill that includes doing away with the anchor baby travesty. So far, not a word has been whispered about it.

Wednesday, on the floor of the Senate, to his credit, Sen. Jeff Sessions displayed a visual of the 1986 Amnesty. You remember that - the promised “last amnesty” that would end illegal immigration???? His point was that the wording is the same as the Senate Judiciary Committee draft that they and the president won’t admit is amnesty.

Senator Sessions, in a matter of fact tone, stated that not only is this Senate Bill amnesty, it should be called “The no illegal Alien left behind Act!”.

Today every American needs to call their senator and let them know that no new guest workers, green carders, or “forgiven” illegal aliens are allowed until there is border security and that the legislation passed by the peoples House of Representatives is not to be ignored.

Cong. Tom Tancredo and 20 other House members have signed a letter to the senate stating the same. Call your representatives and ask why they have not joined them.

Those who show up rule the world they say. The senate is impressed with the mobs of foreigners marching the streets of our cities. Sen. John McCain, "This issue has got the attention of Hispanics like no other issue in history". Unfortunately McCain sees no difference between Hispanics and illegal aliens.

SILENCE IS CONSENT.

Pander some more, Mr. President! This is what the invasion thinks of you!

"Our soul is refreshed by newcomers to our society", George Bush, 5 minutes ago!

"Family values don't stop at the Rio Grande", George Bush (YES, he just said it again!)

With all due respect, President Bush, have you seen the photo's of what these invaders think of you??

These photos are from various marches of hundreds of thousands of illegal alien invaders over this last week across the country.

Pander some more, Mr. President!

Washington Post Op-ed: 'Guest Workers' Won't Work - Mike Cutler speaks

I have met with and debated many folks who have divergent views where the illegal immigration crisis is concerned. One of the people I often disagree with has been Tamar Jacoby. We have locked horns, on occasion about a number of concepts and issues where illegal immigration is concerned. Consequently, it was with real interest that I read the op-ed piece she had published in today's edition of the Washington Post. I have attached her piece below. What is interesting is how much I have to agree with her on much of what she had to say. First of all, I agree with the title of her piece, "Guest Workers Won't Work." I am, indeed, opposed to a guest worker program that will enable illegal aliens who are illegally in our country to gain lawful status and succeed in gaining lawful employment in our country. I have explained my reasons for this on many occasions, but suffice it to say that we can quickly establish a list of why this is wrong-headed. I will start out by reiterating my "Top 5 list" as to why such a program will not work and then continue on to explain why I agree with her on other issues and, as you might expect, disagree with her on others.

5- The amnesty program of 1986 was supposed to get the then estimated 1.5 million illegal aliens out of the proverbial shadows so that they could participate in our society openly and bring rationality and real order to the immigration system. We now know that more than twice that number or more than 3.5 million illegal aliens availed themselves of that opportunity to legalize their status in our country. Since then anywhere from 12 million to 20 million illegal aliens rushed to fill those very same shadows, apparently expecting that what worked for the "class of '86" would work for them so that they too could "graduate" from being illegal aliens to becoming resident aliens and ultimately citizens of our country. (Many politicians such as Senators McCain, Kennedy, Specter and Clinton, to name a few are apparently eager to make this happen.)

4. If we are unable to remove the millions of illegal aliens who are currently illegally in the United States, how will we police this system and make certain that these "Temporary" alien guest workers leave when it is time for them to go?

3. The GAO just released a report that makes it clear that the arm of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that is charged with adjudicating various applications for immigration benefits including the granting of resident alien status and the conferring of United States citizenship upon aliens along with many other applications for a wide variety of benefits, USCIS, is hopelessly overburdened with its myriad responsibilities and consequently, fraud is a major problem for that bureaucracy, as are allegations of outright corruption. This is the same bureaucracy that would be in charge of administering any guest worker amnesty program. (Emilio Gonzalez, the director of USCIS has offered to hire temporary employees to help clear the expected avalanche of applications that a guest worker amnesty program would undoubtedly engender. If there are integrity problems now, imagine what that would do to integrity!) Furthermore, although various proposed bills such as Senator Specter's bill would require that aliens who would apply for a guest worker amnesty program would have to have been physically present in the United States since January 4, 2004, with millions of applications to be adjudicated, how would our bureaucrats be able to determine the truthfulness of statements contained in these applications? There are fewer that 3,000 special agents of ICE that would be able to conduct field investigations into statements made on these applications, provided that ICE stop all other work that is essential to national security and law enforcement needs. This would really amount to an open invitation to aliens from all over the world to come here and claim to have been here for the requisite period of time. We would have no way of making certain that such applications are truthful. We saw this same problem in the amnesty of 1986 which is most likely the reason that by the time the program wrapped up, we had given lawful status to more than twice as many illegal aliens as were originally estimated to be in the United States.

2. There are more than 6 billion people inhabiting our planet. A large percentage of them live below what any reasonable person would consider to be the "poverty line." This means that there are literally billions of people who would love to come to the United States to improve their lives. How many is too many for our country to absorb? Shouldn't our nation, as the "Super Power" and greatest democracy, that our politicians like to say we are, start demanding that rather than have countries such as Mexico send their citizens to our nation for a bright future, that they should be willing to do more to create a higher standard of living in their own countries so that their citizens do not have to come to the United States for a better future? What would anyone think about a family that told their kids to cross a busy street to break into a neighbor's home for food, rather than provide food for their children in their own home? Is that now what Vicente Fox is, in effect, doing with his citizens right now?

1. We are fighting a war on terror and we are also supposedly attempting wage a war on drugs. If our efforts to combat terrorism are as effective as our decades-long war on drugs has been, we are truly in deep, deep trouble! If we cannot secure our borders against illegal aliens, we surely cannot secure our borders against criminals such as violent gangs and especially against terrorists. Illegal immigration does not solely occur on the land borders of the United States. In fact, any state that has an international airport or a seaport is a border states. Immigration fraud that I alluded to previously is also a threat to national security. Janice Kephart, former counsel to the 9/11 Commission conducted a study and found that of the nearly one hundred terrorists who were discovered in our country from about 1990 until the attacks of 9/11, 59 utilized immigration benefit fraud to either gain entry into our country or embed themselves in our country as they made preparations to attack us. The 19 terrorists of the 9/11 attacks had, in the aggregate, some 364 separate pieces of identification to enable them to hide in plain sight. It is entirely possible that terrorists may well provide false names, if we implement a guest worker amnesty program, so that they will be issued new, authentic, identity documents that they can use to obtain a who slew of officially-issued documents such as driver's licenses, Social Security cards, credit cards, etc. This would give them free access to our nation's borders and secure venues such as airports, airliners, military bases, government buildings and others, thereby potentially facilitating future attacks.

Now that I have given you my "Top 5 List" let us consider a few other statements that MS Jacoby makes that I agree with. .

I have attached her own words below . I believe these conclusions I have attached below are entirely accurate and I commend her for her honesty and insight although I believe her estimate about the number of illegal aliens who are currently in the United States is lower that what I believe is the true number. I also disagree that it is difficult to for seasonal laborers to travel across our borders. When I accompanied Bay Buchanan to the U.S. / Mexican border several months ago, the term "fortified" did not come to mind! in Perhaps anyone who doubts this needs to pay a visit to the border regions of the United States and see just how open our borders are. It is not at all difficult to "commute" across our borders. But the rest of her assessment contained below is quite accurate.

"The problem with the guest worker idea starts with practicality: Appealing as it sounds to some, a time-limited program will not work. The adage is true: There is nothing more permanent than a temporary worker. Many of those who come to the United States for short stints will want to stay on when their visas expire, perpetuating the underground economy that the program is supposed to eliminate.

A Path to Permanent Citizenship Would Benefit Everyone This isn't just speculation -- look at the reality today. True enough, many young foreign workers initially come to the United States for what they think will be a short visit, and many do go home after a few years. But unlike past such workers, an increasing number are now staying on. This is partly a result of U.S. policy: Our efforts to fortify the border have made it harder for people to travel back and forth. But other, deeper forces are at work. The traditional flow of migrant farmworkers -- truly seasonal laborers, usually single men -- is giving way to a more diverse stream: both men and women, often with families, less rooted at home and more open to the lure of life in America.

Meanwhile, growing immigrant communities have made settling here a more attractive choice. Of some 11 million illegal immigrants in the United States, only 2.4 million are single men, while nearly half are couples and many have children. Legal migrants are even more rooted.

The bottom line: It won't help to bring our quotas more into line with the size of the immigrant flow if we don't also craft a policy in keeping with the way these workers behave -- and today that means accepting the reality that many will want to settle permanently in the United States. "

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/03/24/AR2006032401719.html 'Guest Workers' Won't Work

Please take the time to read what MS Jacoby had to say and then consider what she believes is a realistic remedy. In essence she would have our nation provide millions of additional permanent visas to aliens who want to come here. In my judgement, this would be the wrong thing to do. Realize that the United States is a nation that produces very little within our borders. Realize that many Americans are under employed as well as unemployed. The next time you buy lunch at a fast food restaurant such as Burger King or McDonalds's and see an adult working there, ask yourself, how does he/she support himself by working there? Why would anyone take such a job if they have a family to support? How many of these employees came to their current jobs when they lost their much better paying jobs to unfair competition by illegal aliens or by outsourcing?

Finally, let me tell you what I observed as an INS agent during the amnesty of 1986. Many aliens who succeeded in acquiring lawful status in the United States, including a man from Mexico who had helped me as an informant, lost their jobs when they approached their employers with their INS-issued document and simply stated that now that they were here legally, they wanted to be paid at least minimum wages and be paid "on the books" so that they could be contributing to their Social Security accounts. The employers' answer was simple and to the point, "You are fired!" The unscrupulous employers did not go out of business, they simply hired the next wave of illegal aliens, many of whom are among those who are now demanding amnesty. There is no door we can shut. It is not possible to keep illegal aliens out of the United States. What is needed is an all-encompassing strategy that removes the attraction that draws the millions of illegal aliens into our country. As I stated when I have testified at Congressional hearings, "No one would break into an amusement park if they could not go on the rides and no one remains in the amusement park at the end of the day when they close down the rides and shut off the lights." I do not believe that we could or even should attempt to deport millions of illegal aliens, we simply need to make it impossible for those who are illegally in the United States to conduct themselves as though they were here legally. It is time to make the distinction between being a citizen and an alien clear. Additionally, we need to make the distinction between being legally and illegally in the United States clear as well. The term "immigrant" is being used by those, such as President Bush, to describe illegal aliens when, in reality the term immigrant means an alien who has lawfully immigrated to the United States. This was not a slip of the tongue, but I believe, a bit of "sleight of hand." George Orwell could not have done it better!

When those who would remove nation's our borders obfuscate the issue by such manipulation of words, it infuriates me and should have the same effect on everyone. The future of our nation is on the line. During the Clinton administration we were all left shaking our heads that the President of our nation was attempting to define the word "is" as he attempted to work his way out of a corner he painted himself into. We live in a democracy where we are supposed to have a government 'by the people.' It is time the politicians realized that the public is smarter than they seem to think we are. It is time for those who are in leadership positions conduct themselves as true leaders by demonstrating honesty and integrity. Half-truths and word games don't cut it!

Lead, follow or get out of the way!

Should we open the borders further to other "poor people who only want to do the job the American people won't do"? The tax payer is getting sick of it.

Subsidizng labor isn't conservative.

TODAY, we have nearly 11,000 criminals invading our country each and every night and the murder rate from them is over 18 dead each day and nothing is done

And again, these millions of people flooding our southern border -- 11,000 a night -- are now being supported, and even funded, by al Qaeda and the Mexican drug cartels.

Crime is rampant throughout all of the countries south of our border. The murder rate for Mexico -- in Mexico -- is about 18 dead per 100,000. Yes, that is 18,000 people murdered every year inside Mexico -- a country with a 100 million population. The murder rate for the USA is about 4 per 100,000 -- a country with about 300 million people. So, yes, Mexico kills as more people than we do but they have one third the population so that really does mean that their citizens kill at a rate that is more than three times that of the people in the United States. Certainly, not everyone in Mexico is a murderer. But there is one truth to murder everywhere on earth:

Almost all murderers anywhere on earth are males between the ages of 15 and 34.

And this is where things get very interesting. About 98 of every 100 illegals crossing our border are Mexican males between the ages of 15 and 34.

THE BILL OF NO RIGHTS.....

An oldie, but worth revisiting!

We, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more riots, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior, and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our great-great-great-grandchildren, hereby try one more time to ordain and establish some common sense guidelines for the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, and other bedwetters.

We hold these truths to be self-evident: that a whole lot of people are confused by the Bill of Rights and are so dim that they require a Bill of No Rights.

ARTICLE I: You do not have the right to a new car, big screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteeing anything.

ARTICLE II: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom, and that means freedom for everyone - not just you! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc., but the world is full of idiots, and probably always will be.

ARTICLE III: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful, do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and all your relatives independently wealthy.

ARTICLE IV: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need, but we are quickly growing weary of subsidizing generation after generation of professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

ARTICLE V: You do not have the right to free health care, regardless of what Hillary thinks. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in public health care.

ARTICLE VI: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim, or kill someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to see you fry in the electric chair.

ARTICLE VII: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, cheat or coerce away the goods or services of other citizens, don't be surprised if the rest of us get together and lock you away in a place where you still won't have the right to a big screen color TV or a life of leisure.

ARTICLE VIII: You don't have the right to demand that our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We hate oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going to fight if you'd like. However, we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.

ARTICLE IX: You don't have the right to a job. All of us sure want all of you to have one, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of the opportunities of education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

ARTICLE X: You do not have the right to happiness. Being an American means that you have the right to pursue happiness - which by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of idiotic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights.

Anarchy Reigns ~ Enforce the Laws ~ Stop The Invasion

http://americandaily.com/article/12501
By Daneen Peterson, Ph.D. (03/21/2006)

America is world renown as the most successful nation in achieving the integration and assimilation of people from diverse nationalities, cultures, languages, and religions. It is significant that our national motto . . . E Pluribus Unum, translates to . . . Out of Many . . . ONE! As Americans, we have collectively prided ourselves on our unique ability to acculturate and assimilate all new immigrants. As a nation, we have jointly shaped a culturally blended society reflective of our well know 'melting pot' metaphor. Unfortunately, there is a widening rift appearing in the fabric of our society. It is causing the temperature of the melting pot to approach the boiling point. What has gone wrong? To answer that question, read on . . .

Ponder This . . .

One wonders what the Mexican government and its citizens would say, think, and do, if twenty million Americans were to illegally invade Mexico and expect the Mexican government to provide free medical care; supply them with free education and automatic Mexican citizenship for their children; require bilingual interpreters at all hospitals and courts; insist on bilingual government forms; demand that Mexico accept American IDs and provide us with sanctuary cities that would ignore our multiple lawbreaking and allow us to remain free from arrest; expect Mexicans to learn English so we wouldn't have to learn Spanish; fly the US flag from our homes and cars; insist on courses in American culture at our local schools; demand local driver's licenses and in-state college tuition; balkanize their cities and towns; insist that police officers speak to us in English and require them to hire American bilingual officers that are culturally acceptable; and permit the American government to have 47 consulates in Mexico to subversively serve those American illegal aliens.(1) What would most Mexicans say about that?

Wouldn't Mexicans vehemently object to such insulting arrogance, insolence and obvious lawless anarchy? There is no doubt that we Americans ALL know the answer to that question because it is what we are FORCED to live with every single day. We categorically and overwhelmingly object and reject the massive illegal immigration that has been taking place in our country for the past two decades. It has become a human tsunami and lawless invasion that borders on anarchy. Our lives are being impacted everyplace and everywhere. We also realize that contrary to our founding principles those 20-23 million illegal aliens, along with many legal immigrants, are not integrating and assimilating into the our uniquely blended American culture and society.(2)(3)(4)

"We The People" are noticing more and more every day and everywhere the balkanization of our communities into burgeoning, divisively isolated, ethnic enclaves. We know that such rapidly appearing enclaves are being generated by the unchecked "human tsunami" of illegal aliens flooding into our country at a rate of 10,000 per day. Their massive numbers also encourage LEGAL immigrants to follow their lead of non-assimilation and ethnic and linguistic isolation, spurred on by the insane dogmas of multi-culturalism, diversity and pc (political castration).(1)

"Illegal immigration has imposed a catastrophic impact on taxpayers and seriously crippled our public school system," said Mike Antonovich, a 21-year member of the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. "While we need legal immigration, which is essential, illegal immigration has been detrimental to the economy and to our quality of life."(5)

Many Americans rightfully believe their country is under assault by a Mexican 'migrant army' of invading illegal aliens who have no intention of assimilating. Instead they want to colonize and 'reconquista' America's west! We believe our "melting pot" is about to boil over!.(6)

How Many is Too Many?

Each year a million plus people enter our country legally.(7) Millions more are permitted to enter with legal visas, then illegally stay on after they expire.(8) Those illegal 'visa overstays' and the aliens who have crossed our borders illegally represent a massive invasion of our sovereignty totaling some 20-23 million people.(1)

Senator John McCain writes "[a]ccording to the U.S. Border Patrol apprehension statistics, it is estimated that almost four million people crossed our borders illegally in 2002."(9) Of those four million, the Border Patrol catches about one in four. Time magazine has estimated similar figures.(10) These Border Patrol estimates equate to nearly 10,000 illegal aliens entering our country every day!(9)(11) Frustrated Americans want to know why law enforcement is not apprehending and deporting those invading millions! Many Americans ask why our government officials, including the president, are violating their oath of office "to protect and defend" our laws and constitution.

Americans also know that there are resulting consequences for such massive uncontrolled illegal immigration. One result will be a population explosion! Do the math-- it's breathtaking! If all 20 to 23 million illegal aliens here today are given guest worker amnesty along with "family reunification," it will add roughly 60 million people to the current legal population of 293 million.(12) In 2050, just forty-four years from now, demographers say there will be half a billion people residing in America!(13) Just imagine what kind of impact that will have on our natural resources and quality of life!

Thinking Americans believe that the exploitation of illegal aliens is driven by a lust for cheap labor. However, they may not know who is lobbying so diligently for that cheap labor. They include the following protagonists: the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; high-tech companies like Microsoft; giant labor unions; the construction industry; clothing manufacturers; the meat packing industry; the hotel and restaurant industry; the gaming industry; the Agri-business and farmers; and of course, the wealthy elites who require nannies, gardeners, cooks, housekeepers and drivers.(14)

The Hispanic Agenda . . .

The massive inflow of illegal aliens is also promoted and desired by many Hispanic groups both inside and outside America.(6)(15) Until our government enforces our current immigration laws, businesses will continue to defy them by hiring illegal aliens.(16) Therefore, they will continue to come! Americans know that our immigration system is not 'broken' but simply lacking any semblance of enforcement!(6)

President Bush has proclaimed he wants to "match any willing [foreign] worker with any willing [American] employer." Just how would that program work when you consider that there are at least a billion 'willing workers' world-wide who would immediately apply! It is a pronouncement that infuriates Americans because we are smart enough to know it is a policy with such terrible consequences for America and its workers that it boggles the mind!

The American public constantly hears the mantra that they're here to do the jobs Americans won't do. (17) That is a bald-faced lie, a myth! The true fact is that Americans can't afford to take those jobs at the low wages being offered!(18) Many Americans have been forced into the ranks of the under-employed because overwhelming cheap labor has driven down their wages, replaced them in their jobs, or are unable to economize by living twenty to a rented house.(19) Others are forced to close their businesses when they can no longer competitively bid in an arena filled with employers who hire illegal aliens.(20) Those 'goodhearted Americans' can no longer 'put food on their tables!'(21)(22)(23)

Insidiously, the America economy suffers when cheap illegal alien labor is paid "under the table" or claim nine dependants to avoid paying any income taxes. "If the IRS could collect all the taxes it says that it is owed from the underground economy in a given year, then the current budget deficit would disappear overnight. And if the IRS could collect these taxes every year, then the nation would have surpluses as far as the eye can see."(3)

What the Experts Have to Say . . .

According to experts, we are in fact adding millions of jobs, they're just not 'on the books' which may explain why there is a 'jobless recovery.'(25)(26) "Americans Lose $68 Billion a Year From Immigration . . . [that] annual loss [in 2002] represents a $14 billion increase just since 1998. As the size of the immigrant population has continued to increase, so has the loss. "(27)

Illegal aliens, financially and physically overburden our hospitals, jails and schools.(28)(29)(30)(31) They bring in new and previously eradicated diseases which we are required by law to treat and pay for with taxpayer dollars.(28) Then, they compound the felony, by sending billions of dollars back to their home countries, removing money from America that could help sustain and improve its economy! Mexico alone received $16.6 billion in 2004 and a projected $20 billion for 2005. According to Mexico's President Vicente Fox, those remittances "are our biggest source of foreign income, bigger than oil, tourism or foreign investment."(32)(33) Too bad there isn't the same concern for Americans LEGAL resident's wages and benefits which are declining each and every year!(34)

Many Americans find it insulting to be asked to "press '1' for English" when calling a bank or business. They ask why, here in America, do we need to "press one" to speak in our own native language?(35) Most Americans believe that our country will be destroyed if we turn America into a bilingual, multi-lingual, and bi-cultural country.(51)

The Wisdom of Former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm . . .

History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual.(36) [When] Societies are bilingual [they become] two competing and nation-dividing languages. A nation is much more than a place on a map. It is a state of mind, a shared vision, and a recognition that we are all is this together . . . [and] one indispensable element must be that we all speak one common language.(37)

Unfortunately it is an open secret, revealed by Caruba when he says "Hispanics in America have been lobbying, often with success, to make Spanish the second official language of the nation. There is even a movement to re-conquer [reconquista] those formerly Mexican areas of the nation and the official policy of the Mexican government is to create a southern border which Mexicans could cross at will, electing to live here if the wish, enjoy all the benefits of American citizenship, but retaining their own citizenship at the same time."(38)(6)(39)(40)(41) This attitude is a serious impediment to achieving the assimilation and integration, so necessary and vital, for a thriving American culture and society.

Can the proposed guest worker amnesty fix all the problems? Previous high-level scholarly commissions have concluded with agreement "that guest worker programs are not in the [American] national interest and [the commission] unanimously and strongly agreed that such programs would be a grievous mistake."(42) Eighty-five percent of Americans believe that illegal immigration is a serious problem and sixty-five percent oppose the guest worker amnesty!(43) They want President Bush to enforce our immigration laws by closing our borders, punishing the businesses that hired them and deporting all of those who are here illegally.(44)

Roll Up the Welcome Mat !

We need to close our borders and roll up the 'welcome mat' to discourage future illegal aliens and force the ones here to 'self-deport' by generating laws that would deny 'any and all' taxpayer financed 'social services' and 'public benefits' to illegal aliens such as: FREE state health care, including state approved FREE federal funds (your tax dollars) from Medicaid, SSI and the much abused FREE 'emergency care' and more; FREE American education for their children; FREE use of Head Start programs; automatic citizenship for their babies; FREE pre-natal care and delivery of their 'anchor babies'; driver's licenses; in-state college tuition rates; motor-voter registration; bi-lingual 'everything'; subsidized housing which includes tens of billions of federally funded grants, (your tax dollars) to non-profits (like Catholic Charities who create and manage them); food stamps; worker's compensation; FREE school lunches and breakfasts; rent assistance; FREE immunizations; and MORE . . . much, much more!(45)(46)(47)(48)

Without the dominance . . . [of] what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together. [If the aim is to destroy America] I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor . . . reinforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities.(36)
--Former Colorado Governor Richard Lamm --

The assault on our sovereignty, language, and culture, has occurred because our immigration laws are not being enforced! This egregious FACT has allowed an overwhelming mass of humanity to flood into our country without the time and effort necessary to integrate and assimilate resulting in the balkanization of America!(49)(50) We are fast becoming a third world, multi-cultural, multi-lingual "tower of babble" heading toward a racially divisive and linguistically divided society.(50)(51)(52)(53) For these reasons, intelligent Americans overwhelmingly oppose a guest worker amnesty! We believe it is time to end to this 'open borders' insanity and slam closed the door!(54)

Because the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has abandoned enforcement of our immigration laws and condoned the "open borders" policy of this administration, there is serious doubt that the invasion will be stopped.(55) The only glimmer of hope, is the proliferation of proposals similar to Arizona's Proposition 200 which are now being considered by many other states.(56)(57) Laws that many, angry but hopeful, Americans want enacted because the federal government is in denial and default.

Our Government Continues to Abdicate its Constitutional Responsibilities!

* Article IV, Section 4 of the US Constitution states: "The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and "shall protect each of them against Invasion . . . " This is not being done!

* Members of our Congress take an oath of office, to ""preserve, protect and defend our Constitution." They are responsible for ensuring the enforcement of our laws and do not honor their oath!

* The Constitution states that the President of the United States "shall take care that the laws be faithfully executed." He has not and does not honor his oath to enforce our immigration laws, except selectively and narrowly for show!

"We The People" DEMAND that our government put the military on the border and enforce our immigration laws so that our children and grandchildren can grow up in an America that is fully assimilated. We want our Constitution, Bill of Rights, laws and sovereignty upheld. We want our American culture and English language honored, promoted and sustained.

Mr President, do your Constitutional duty, honor your oath of office and for the sake of our children and the preservation of our Republic, enforce our immgration laws and . . .

STOP THE INVASION!

It's Not Xenophobia, It's Xenonausea

by Mac Johnson
http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php?id=13156

For a political junkie, the Dubai ports debacle has been a bit like the movie “Pulp Fiction”—just one freaky story inside another, unfolding at a rapid pace and leading to an unexpected ending that made no darn sense and yet was really quite satisfying emotionally. I give it two thumbs way up.

Unfortunately for the President, he played the part of “Marcellus Wallace” in “Port Fiction.” He talked tough at the start of the whole thing, but really took it hard in the end. (Bada bing!) And along the way we got to see Chuck Schumer support racial profiling, Hillary Clinton claim to be concerned about national security, Lawrence Kudlow play the (Arab) race card, Fred Barnes complain that some conservatives were too cantankerous, and Rush Limbaugh congratulate his own audience for defeating him. Now that’s a movie that should have got an Oscar!

Two of the subplots really stood out in my mind though. One was how eagerly the disciples of “free” trade took to attacking the conservative base as a bunch of xenophobic ignoramuses storming the harmless castle Globalstein with torches and pitchforks. That sort of animosity couldn’t be over just one relatively minor business deal for Dubai. I’m sensing that the Beltway Boys and the Wall Street Wonks have been entertaining some animosity against Main Street and the Heartland for some time.

Whatever their motivation, they came across as nothing less than petty and absurd. The restructuring of the world economy and the American legal landscape by the proponents of free trade over the last two decades has been nothing short of a revolution—and it was all made possible, ultimately, by the votes of the fly-over country conservatives with whom Kudlow and company have shared a big tent for so long.

And yet at the first sign of hesitation or reluctance to indulge further on mom and pop’s part, the free trade faithful turned on them with epithets and disdain. According to some pinstriped pundits, the most open nation on earth, at the most internationalist time in its history, is suddenly and dismissively labeled “xenophobic,” “isolationist,” “protectionist,” “nativist,” “racist” and “ignorant” of the fact that world is global, or some such insight. Given 99% of everything they want, some free traders turned petulantly on their enablers over the 1% they didn’t get.

This behavior is very familiar to anyone who has small children. You can take them to the park, the mall, the museum, a game, an arcade, an ice cream shop, McDonald’s and Chuck E Cheese’s, then after spending the whole day and $200 on them, you tell them it’s time to go home and they explode into tears and theatrics while flopping about on the floor calling you “a meanie,” which is like “xenophobic,” but without the overeducated pretense.

And what was the tone-deaf expectation behind conservatives of any stripe, pin or otherwise, playing the race card in an internal political debate? Perhaps, like an abused child who grows up to be a child abuser, the name callers thought that they might get the same sort of instant capitulation from their base that they are used to giving to Democrats and the media when they themselves are accused of racism—or of just having used the word “niggardly” in a college essay once.

Way to solidify the base! Why not just say that Republicans are "a pretty monolithic party. They all behave the same. They all look the same. It's pretty much a white Christian party," or "The Republicans are not very friendly to different kinds of people"? When some in the party start sounding like Howard Dean while bashing the rest of it, it could be time to take a deep breath.

The second subplot that really stood out to me, is how clueless many in the Republican Party are to the true source of public misgiving about the port deal. This does not bode well for avoiding a repeat of the debacle in the near future. I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that the average voter does not normally concern himself with the minutiae of cargo management and port personnel. So why the big opinion all of a sudden over Dubai Ports World?

Well, in my opinion this is sort of like an argument in a marriage. It may have started over a specific incident, but it’s really about something else and has been building for a long time.

This minor uprising was about a general feeling that, whatever merits free trade, open borders, and corporate globalism may have financially, they are often not good for the nation in many ways that fail to be accounted for in the theoretical models of economists. Free trade fails to take account of cultural consequences, and it places no value on concepts such as national loyalty. To the value-free traders, labor is simply a commodity, and people are interchangeable parts. And they are entirely correct—economically speaking. A widget is a widget, and the cheaper you can get them made, the better.

But the problem is that all nations are more than just economic systems. They are each somebody’s home. And each has a culture, and a language, and a set of common ideals that they want protected—even more than they want another 0.3% added to next year’s GDP. Some things matter more than the economic opportunity cost we pay for having them. The American Revolution, for example, was bad for the economy while it was under way. But that was not really the point of the whole thing, was it?

The emotion surrounding the ports deal, and illegal immigration, and outsourcing, and homeland security and a dozen other aspects of breakneck international economic integration is no longer simply a quiet misgiving. It is rapidly being formed into a single coherent message from average citizens to those in power—both on the right and on the left- that see it as their job to make sure the “inevitable” rise of a single world economic entity actually happens. People are saying, “Stop!

They’re saying “OK, we’ve tried it your way and it never seems to end. No amount of globalization, tolerance, equalization, outsourcing, internationalism, interventionism, human smuggling, and security risk is ever enough. There is always a push for more—even before the last round has proven itself wise or foolish. Treaty piles upon treaty, migration upon migration, integration upon integration. Now people want a break and a reassessment. They’re not sure they are against it all. They’re just no longer sure they’re still for it.

It is not Xenophobia. It is Xenonausea. People are sick of having the whole world shoved down their throats at once and being told it tastes like ice cream. They are sick of every street corner and parking lot being filled with criminal aliens waiting to work off the books and outside the laws that are applied so enthusiastically to actual Americans. They are sick of pressing “1” for English. They are sick of being at war with foreign terrorists and simultaneously being economically and demographically bound more tightly to the nations producing these terrorists. They are sick of being told that the world is global or flat or smaller or at their doorstep or all coming for dinner on Tuesday.

They are sick of hearing that America is just an economic opportunity zone and not a distinct nation, a culture—their home. They are sick of being told that human beings are interchangeable parts, that the nation-state is passé, that there are some jobs that Americans just won’t do, that there are some contracts that Americans just won’t bid, and that any cost that cannot be measured in money cannot be very important. They are sick of having the world purposely knit together in a tighter tangle everyday and then being told we are so entangled that America must now run the whole world and solve all its problems. And they are sick of being called ignorant and racist and xenophobic just for having the temerity to raise questions when abstract trade theory conflicts with their common sense.

And they want a break. They want some breathing room and some limits; and they don’t want to hear elitist children cry themselves hoarse after all they’ve been given already.

If absolute globalization really is inevitable, it doesn’t need such a vociferous lobby. It will happen at its own organic pace. Trying to force it prematurely will just cause a backlash here and abroad—as it already has from Van Nuys to Venezuela to Vladivostok.

And if it is not inevitable, then it needs to be justified beyond the boardroom and the lecture hall. It may not be something that everyone wants to pay the costs of, whatever benefits it may bring to our bank accounts and stock exchanges.

Soon, Congress will consider a new illegal immigration bill. Failure to acknowledge the new mood in the country could break the Republican Party.

Posts of the Day-Best of the Web

If anyone can show me, and prove to me, that I am wrong in thought or deed, I will gladly change. I seek the truth, which never yet hurt anybody. It is only persistence in self-delusion and ignorance which does harm.
--Marcus Aurelius

"No right [should] be stipulated for aliens to hold real property within these States, this being utterly inadmissible by their several laws and policy."
--Thomas Jefferson: Commercial Treaties Instructions, 1784.

"But the simple truth is that we've lost control of our own borders, and no nation can do that and survive." -- Pres. Ronald Reagan (News conference, June 14, 1984)

"Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake, since history and experience prove that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of republican government." ---George Washington, 1793

When the democratic party became the target of the communists, they were allowed to infiltrate and corrupt the party and no one said anything. Now the "free traders" have come to the Republican party. They are corrupting it and its traditional conservative values to serve their globalist agenda. Should the party loyals speak out against this? You bet! Should the globalists attempting to usurp the American constitution and replace it with a reinvented internationalist agenda be the ones shut out of the party, instead of loyal Americans? You bet.

Cong Duncan Hunter is doing a good job on this issue. Standing up and speaking out in the name of American interests is always good to see coming from any CongressCritter. Especially a GOP CongressCritter. Some folks around FR don't like seeing free speech and political dissent allowed. They'd rather see free speech stifled and political dissent abolished. Well, as long as Dubya is Prez anyway. LOL

I try very hard not to engage in flame wars in Jim Robinson's parlor... ok, it isn't really very hard :) Still, I've noticed the slurs, the ad hominem attacks on those who have doubts about this deal. One side acting like a hive instinctively stinging what doesn't smell like they do---basically accusing the other side of that very thing: indiscriminately attacking the UAE.
I've also noticed some long-time freepers having their privileges suspended. 'Nuff said.

Homeland Insecurity - Outsourced and Corrupt - Feeling reassured now?

Some still refuse to watch the Lou Dobbs show on CNN. I know, for years we've had it pounded in our heads about CNN, the Clinton News Network. The exception to that rule is Lou Dobbs and you're missing some vital truths from a broadcaster who dares take on the status quo!

The following portion of transcript describes what is really going on at DHS, and it isn't security!

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0603/06/ldt.01.html
Aired 3/6/06
CNN, Lou Dobbs Tonight

The Department of Homeland Security frequently proclaims it's doing everything possible to protect us and this country from a terrorist attack. It turns out, however, the truth is somewhat different.

The Department of Homeland Security itself is anything but secure. It turns out private guards at the department's headquarters in Washington now say they don't have enough training, nor equipment to provide security to headquarters.

At one point, guards emptied an envelope containing suspicious white powder into the air outside the building. The company that provides those guards, Wackenhut Services, is, by the way, owned by a firm based in Great Britain.

Feeling reassured now?

Still ahead here, charges of bribes, green card giveaways and fraud inside the U.S. immigration bureaucracy. Ready for a guest worker program? We'll have a preview of an explosive new report here next. And how the agency responsible for investigating foreign transactions has consistently violated U.S. law.

DOBBS: A shocking new government report is expected to charge the Bush administration with gross mismanagement of this country's immigration system. The report says the Bush administration's so- called temporary guest worker program has no chance of succeeding because of widespread fraud within our nation's immigration bureaucracy.

CASEY WIAN, CNN CORRESPONDENT : The Bush administration's top homeland security official is again promoting the temporary worker program opponents say is a thinly-disguised illegal alien amnesty.

MICHAEL CHERTOFF, HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY: If we don't do some kind of a temporary worker program, I think it's going to be impossible to address the challenge of what could be eight to 11 million illegal migrants who are currently in this country.

WIAN: That estimate is probably low, and even so, the agency that would be in charge of a guest worker program is already overwhelmed and plagued by fraud. What's more, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service is not expected to be up to the task for at least five years. Those are just some the findings of a Government Accountability Office draft report now in the hands of two congressional committees and the Department of Homeland Security.

Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley recently gave colleagues a preview, saying, "You'd all be shocked if you learned about the internal fraud and abuse at CIS. Officials are being bribed. Visas are being given away. Green cards are being sold."

The year-long study found CIS denied 19,000 applications for citizenship or immigration benefits due to fraud last year. Many of the other 800,000 rejected applications were also likely frauds but denied for other easier to prove reasons. Fraudulent applications are rarely prosecuted.

ROSEMARY JENKS, NUMBERSUSA: If your application is denied based on fraud and you're not prosecuted, then there is nothing that bars you from continuing to apply again and again and again until you get what you're looking for. In the 1986 amnesty, we gave a green card to at least one of the terrorists who blew up the World Trade Center in 1993. And here we are, we're set to do it again.

WIAN: More than 5,000 applicants for immigration benefits are identified as potential national security threats each year. The Bush administration last month asked Congress for nearly a quarter of a billion dollars for the citizenship and immigration service this year to begin implementing its temporary worker program.

DOBBS: The anti-fraud effort, of course, the fraud on the part of those applying for visas and even citizenship in this country. But at the same time, Casey, you're reporting that the institution, the bureaucracy itself, has corruption within it, at least according to Senator Grassley.

WIAN: And Senator Grassley was very clear about that in a hearing on Thursday that received very little attention. The overwhelming fact from this report is that the Citizenship and Immigration Service has absolutely no idea how widespread the fraud is because so many of these applications are denied for other reasons.

DOBBS: None of this even goes to the issue of compatibility of computer systems and databases that are absolutely critical to following the flow of those entering this country.

WIAN: Actually, there is a mention of the computer systems, and that's -- they're five years away of getting computer systems up and running that would detect fraud across the different homeland security agencies.

Senator Chuck Grassley will be talking about his efforts to uncover fraud inside our immigration bureaucracy on Wednesday.

TUCKER: The latest poll by Quinnipiac University found that 88 percent of those asked think illegal immigration is a serious problem. Put another way, 94 percent of Republicans and 86 percent of Democrats see illegal immigration as a serious issue .

Free Trade - Mangos for Nuclear tech - Such a deal!

TheTownCrier Editorial

The president is overseas making trade deals again. We're getting mangos from India and they're getting our nuclear technologies.

With all this free trade and foreign governments buying up US assets as well as operating terminals in our sea ports, let's be reminded just how much of "our" country and what we once produced is now being operated and own by foreign entities.

As www.economyincrisis.com notes, US Government statistics indicate the following percentages of foreign ownership of American industry:

· Sound recording industries - 97% · Commodity contracts dealing and brokerage - 79% · Motion picture and sound recording industries - 75% · Metal ore mining - 65% ·
Motion picture and video industries - 64% · Wineries and distilleries - 64% ·
Database, directory, and other publishers - 63% · Book publishers - 63% ·
Cement, concrete, lime, and gypsum product - 62% ·
Engine, turbine and power transmission equipment - 57% · Rubber product - 53% ·
Nonmetallic mineral product manufacturing - 53% · Plastics and rubber products manufacturing - 52% · Plastics product - 51% · Other insurance related activities - 51% ·

NOW, think about the foreign visas handed out by the millions for jobs and the illegal alien invasion. Did you know our border guard uniforms are made in Mexico??

Good weekend, all!

THE RIGHT PLAYS THE RACE CARD!

THE RIGHT PLAYS THE RACE CARD

MAR. 1, 2006

MICHELLE MALKIN

http://www.humaneventsonline.com/article.php? id=12836

Last week, I skewered Democrat opportunists who have turned into tough-sounding profiling advocates to exploit the White House ports debacle.

Today, I must express bottomless disgust with those on the Right who have turned into mush-mouthed race-card players to shift blame away from President Bush for his miserable mishandling of the situation.

It's one thing for feckless grievance-mongers on the Left to accuse Americans genuinely concerned about national security of Islamophobia. It's quite another for the Right to sink to such a level in accusing all good-faith critics of demagoguery. Reasonable people can disagree on the process pitfalls and security implications of the deal. But the elite Right has simply lost its marbles:

Here's GOP strategist and Muslim voter outreach architect Grover Norquist in the Los Angeles Times dismissing critics of the deal: "The only whiners left by next week will be the registered bigots."

Conservative commentator Larry Kudlow: "This whole brouhaha surrounding the Bush administration's green-light to a United Arab Emirates company slated to manage six major U.S. ports has nothing to do with protecting homeland security. Allow me to give it its proper name: Islamophobia."

New York Times columnist David Brooks: "This Dubai port deal has unleashed a kind of collective mania we haven't seen in decades. First seized by the radio hatemonger Michael Savage, it's been embraced by reactionaries of left and right, exploited by Empire State panderers, and enabled by a bipartisan horde of politicians who don't have the guts to stand in front of a xenophobic tsunami."

The UAE is our "friend," we are told, and to question that assertion, we are scolded, is to engage in reckless prejudice and life-threatening insult. Yes, well, some friends are more equal than others. To instinctively trust a longtime, stalwart Western democracy more than an Arab newcomer with a mixed record on combating terror, international crime and Islamic extremism is not "Islamophobia." It's self-preservationism in a time of war.

We are at war, aren't we?

President Bush himself is ultimately responsible for encouraging the race-card players, thanks to his stunning comment that "those who are questioning" the deal need to "step up and explain why all of a sudden a Middle Eastern company is held to a different standard than a Great British company."

Yes, there are countless homegrown terrorists across England, where Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Co., the maritime company purchased by state-owned Dubai Ports World, operates. So what? So, now, a peaceful Western democracy that is infiltrated against its will by al Qaeda is on the same plane as an Arab federation whose ruling emiratis ran interference for Osama bin Laden before Sept. 11, which continued to be a logistical hub for al Qaeda for years after, which refuses to recognize the existence of Israel, bans our textbooks as "racist" because they point out Syria's state sponsorship of terrorism, and is boycotting Denmark over the Mohammed Cartoons?

Now, all the proselytizers who tell us to collect the dots and connect the dots want us to throw them all away lest we give offense?

Yes, the UAE has taken steps to cooperate in the War on Terror after the Sept. 11 attacks. Give them a pat on the back. But don't tell me that their actions over the past four years elevate them to the same level of partnership and trustworthiness as Great Britain.

That's offensive.

Perhaps Bush should consult with his own Justice Department, which understood the need for heightened scrutiny of Middle Eastern illegal aliens in the immediate aftermath of Sept. 11, and instituted temporary targeted fingerprinting and registration policies for Middle Eastern tourists, businessmen and students.

Bigots!

Perhaps he should ask his own Border Patrol, which is on heightened alert for illegal Middle Eastern border-crossers.

Bigots!

Perhaps he should ask his own FBI, which is zeroing in on mosques and Muslim charities instead of Lutheran churches and the March of Dimes in the domestic War on Terror.

Bigots!

(But don't bother asking Transportation Department Norm Mineta anything -- well, other than "Why the heck are you still here, Normie?")

The sad lesson of Portgate: Scream "racism" loud enough, and people will blame the messengers and back down. By the Bush standard, we who put American security above Arab sensitivity are all bigots now.

Mrs. Malkin is author of Unhinged (Regnery).

++++++++++++

NOTE:

Here's GOP strategist and Muslim voter outreach architect Grover Norquist in the Los Angeles Times dismissing critics of the deal: "The only whiners left by next week will be the registered bigots."

That's the plan!! And Grover's the man! Norquist is the first to always pull the race card. He's been doing it since he tried to destroy Sen. Alan Simpson when he tried to do something about the border 10 years ago. Norquist is Bush's man for immigration and "muslim outreach" and bragged that he brought home the muslim vote for Bush/Cheney.
